With it's sweep over Iowa I'm guessing SIUE jumps over both Iowa and ISU.

i think by the next ranking, it should look something like this

1. Davenport
2. Grand Valley
3. Mich St.
4. Missouri St.
5. Central Michigan
6. Ferris St.
7. Michigan (although they have barely won any games)
8. SIUE
9. DePaul
10. Iowa
11. Mizzou
12. Lindenwood
13. St. Cloud/St. Thomas

Off the list should be

Marquette (in silver, enough said)
Illinois St. (lucky splits with mizzou and siue, but finally show thier true colors)
KU (hasn't played a difficult schedule and 2 losses to mizzou)

Not bad, but I'd insert Minnesota after Iowa and before MIZZOU due to their split w/ Iowa. Mizzou lost and tied Iowa. I'd follow that with Lindenwood, St. Thomas and St. Cloud. Good work though.

I don't know how you consider our splits with Mizzou and SIUe lucky. We beat Mizzou 6-3 in the game we won against them and their win against us was only by 2 goals. Against SIUe we were up 5 goals in with 10 minutes left in the 3rd period and just coughed up 4 goals and almost let them back into the game. The game SIUe won was in OT. Please tell me how either of these wins were lucky. I won't come on here and say we should have beaten Eastern. We played like crap and deserved to lose. But to say 2 of our wins were lucky is ridiculous. Look at the facts before you throw your opinion in.

Mizzou has no business in the top 15

so you're saying that I should know that you're better than mizzou because you beat them by three goals and they beat you by 2? Either way, that was only one weekend and you split. You did just lose 2 games to Eastern. So, you split with two good teams. but that doesn't mean that you are as good as those teams. And mizzou has enough busniess to be top 15. They did split with siue. So should mizzou be ranked right there with them? No, because you have look at siu's entire schedule.. not just one weekend. However, the 2 teams face again this weekend and I do think the winner will prove who the better team is.

of the latter ranked teams, Who's better than mizzou? Marquette? Kansas? Come on. These 2 schools have no business in the rankings period
and illinios state, like i have said before, you will not finish top ten. sorry.

The good news is, all this babble means nothing and only time will tell as all these teams still have some big games remaining, not to mention playoffs. So, lets look at the final standings and make our judgements.

Never said we were better than anyone, I'm just asking how someone considers those wins lucky. I also never argued that we should be ranked because after 2 losses to Eastern I don't think we should be ranked and I know we won't be. Even if we smoke Iowa and Robert Morris we still will not get ranked in my mind. I said in my post WE lost those games this weekend and we will live with the consequences but I'm not sure where I said we were better than anybody.

The only thing lucky about ISU's win over SIUE was that they happen to play them at the beginning of the season. ISU earned their win but it helped that SIUE hadn't played a single game (practice or otherwise) before playing ISU. ISU had already played half a dozen games on the season. Doubt that SIUE repeats that mistake next year.

who cares?

probably the people that want to go to regionals.

ISU probably lost their chance at Regionals this past weekend. If they can HANDILY beat Iowa they may get back in the running. But they were on the bubble as it is with a Ferris State team for sure entering above them no matter what they did this past weekend.

This is a huge weekend on both fronts for Iowa and ISU among other teams. Regional rankings and playoff positions are on the line for both squads. I don't think a split helps either team this weekend as far as regional rankings are concerned, its all or nothing.

The Ferris situation is still up in the air, and Ive seen both sides of the argument both for and against them. DePaul played in a similar situation last year, playing w/ an ineligible player(s) after beating #1 Colorado and other highly ranked teams. They had to forfeit 11 games i think, did well after that and still didn't make rankings.

I think those rankings above are pretty accurate, but if Ferris doesn't get ranked id just move everyone up a spot.

we'll see what mizzou is made of this weekend. One game vs. Mo State and one vs. SIUE. If they can pull out the weekend sweep somehow, they will then deserve to be in the top 10. Those wins should wipe out the bad splits with ISU and McKendree.

you're absolutely right. if they somehow do that, then they will have proven themselves worthy...... however, the odds are against them.

One win over a team ranked in the top 10 does not guarantee that team will be ranked. If you look at the rankings since the ACHA went to the 10 team format a few years ago, almost every team (or a team that was previously ranked in the top 10) all season long ended up ranked at the top of the season. Rarely has a non ranked team become ranked at the end, unless some team just tanked down the stretch.

I think you'll all be surprised when Mizzou takes it to MSU in their home rink! We're going to serve them a can of whoop ass!

Be real. No one from Mizzou wrote that. Its too easy to say anything and pretend that your someone else on here. It should be another good game between the two. Its a fun place to play.
