Alright, as far as I know I was told from somebody in our league that they wanted to schedule with Kansas for next season, but Kansas told them that they were trying to join the Gold Division next season and wanted to wait to see what happens with that before they schedule games.. So has this happened to anyone else? OR does anyone know about Kansas coming to the meeting this year?? Personally I think Kansas should be apart of the Gold Division, they would be competitive in the league and already play MSU, Mizzou, and Iowa. I realize it would spread the league out a little more, but come on it can't be much farther than going to Missouri State and every team in the gold league travels pretty far for road games anyways so does it really matter? I think not. I say let them in.

And Ckich what is the deal with SLU?? I take it your talking about Saint Louis University.. I know their DI team isn't very good, but are they really thinking of dropping to DII??? Or do they have a DII interested in MACHA.. from what I know they dont have a DII team. But maybe you know something I dont know.. So please shed some light on this subject..

Oh yea and I know Missouri State is planning to go DI in the next couple of years, but is it possible for them to be DI next season and no longer be in MACHA?????

SLU already dropped out of D1. So that clears up that one.

Mo St. will almost positively be D2 next season, but there's a strong possibility of D1 the year after.

Missouri State will stay D2 for next year.
Larry Thatcher confirmed on our broadcast that SLU has petitioned to join MACHA.

Hope to see Kansas in MACHA, they are turning things around.

Yes, it's true SLU players made some decisions at the beginning of Feb. that made it impossible for them to go back to D1 and possibly shut that D1 door for a long time. They had a good run but, D2 is where they belong now. At this point what they are left with will be a Midget Major AA quality team. This maybe good enough to compete in the MACHA but to what degree at D2, no idea. Light on quality players that are fully committed.

Actually I hear more players are now interested in playing and committing to the team now that they have changed direction. DII competition will do a lot for team moral as oppposed to playing in the best DI league in the nation and getting beat consistently.

that's because John is done there. This is why they will get back in the MACHA and also why they will be a good team at D2.

SLU went to two D2 National tournaments and one D1 National Tournament over a 12 year run so they have had plenty of success and are left with a good base history. It will be interesting to see if they get a sniff at any of this success in the future based on changes made. Maybe, I hope so, but time will tell. The first thing they have to do is just get back on the ice in the ACHA, that's step one. Then make a decision on how interested they are in competing at the D2 level. Winning will take care of everything but their recent history says, if they lose they quit? Again, time will tell.
