Hey guys,
My name is Alex Goldsmith and I'm a broadcaster for the USC Trojans (DII, Pac 8). Our opening game is against SDSU, a program that just made the jump from DIII to DII. I'm curious how the first season for Iowa went after they made the jump themselves. When they made the jump would also be helpful information.
Thanks!

When they were considered dIII they weren't in the acha at that time. It was an iowa league in which they played local schools that weren't very strong and were much like them at the time which consisted of no coach and barely 2 lines if they were lucky. It wasn't until 2004 that Iowa had a full time coach. But in prior years they were competitive for the most part besides only have a fraction of the players that most teams had.

This forum has been created with the purpose to constructively discuss college club hockey. We encourage you to freely discuss any topic you wish, with the caveat that you keep the discourse within the bounds of good taste. While good natured trash-talking is fun, thought provoking and acceptable, any replies that turn personal, disrespectful and/or disruptive of the intent of this forum will be deleted by the moderators of this forum.
Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition.
Best of luck to ALL teams!
