Big wins for Iowa, as well as the MACHA as a whole. Minnesota was the WCCHA Conference champion last year; St. Thomas took the regular season title (Both ended ranking higher than SIUE, ISU, Iowa, Mizzou last season). That may come into play when MACHA teams are ranked against WCCHA teams during those 4 periods in the year.
Congrats fellas!

Thanks Kich! Up and down game Friday night. Fridday game was not as close as the score indicated. Iowa down 0-2 after 1st then up 8-3 until 5 minutes left in game.
Close defensive game on Saturday. Good goaltending both sides, ours a little better.

Not bitter, we lost the game and accept that. We didn't have our best game and their goalie stepped up and played a great game. We out shot them 40 to 24 and much of the action was in their end. They capitalized on their chances, we didn't that night. I am sure as the season goes on the true colors of all teams will be shown, wether good or bad.

In response to ISU 7. All the teams in the MACHA should have eachothers backs and hope that all do well and succeed. Having a team like NIU, who has not been at the top of the league for awhile, it is good for them to beat a higher ranked team such as ISU. It shows that the competition is equal across the board. Blowouts should not be happening. The MACHA is one of the top conferences in the central and we need to grow as a whole and move to the top as a whole!

This forum has been created with the purpose to constructively discuss college club hockey. We encourage you to freely discuss any topic you wish, with the caveat that you keep the discourse within the bounds of good taste. While good natured trash-talking is fun, thought provoking and acceptable, any replies that turn personal, disrespectful and/or disruptive of the intent of this forum will be deleted by the moderators of this forum.
Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition.
Best of luck to ALL teams!
