Ten new players less ten old players new coaching staff less old head coach = Better Team, better attitude, more committment, more fun, look out we are for REAL ! |

I bet they are a better team than last year as far as comparison to other teams. Time will tell though. They did get rid of most of their problem players. But they still have a few head cases, but don't all teams. (except maybe Wheaton) |

If our league had a sportsmanship award, wheaton would get it every season. |

Iowa is a very trashy team. Thats all I have to say. There are still many problems there. |

One of the, if not the most respected coaches of the ACHA, Coach Al Murdoch of Iowa State's D1 team was quoted as saying that KU was the most disciplined and well behaved team D2 that he had ever played against |

Iowa State obviously has never played Wheaton if he says KU is the best behaved team.
While I am trying to take nothing away from KU or any of the other programs out there Wheaton with their beliefs and the way they conduct their program on and off the ice will always be 1 of if the the top of the sportsmanship ladder.
The unfortunate part for wheaton is they have struggled for a few years now and because of that have absolutly no recognition outside of Chicago land and the MACHA.
C-Train keep up the good work with the great group of young men you have at wheaton.
To all the other teams you don't have to have the beleif structure Wheaton has to carry yourselfs in a respectable manner. So maybe we should all strive to have the great sportsman reputation.
Again I am using Wheaton as an example, With Coach Murdoch using KU as an example it sounds like they are on the right track as well.
This is just my humble opinion. |

how did this thread turn in to a bunch of squares hi-fiving the wheaton team for their sportsmanship? just win some games and maybe you'll get some recognition |

Whoever wrote the last post, you just don't get it, your probably never will. It always isn't just about winning you ignoramous. Recognition isn't always only synonymous with winning. (not sure if you know what that word means). Dallas Cowboys have won nothing and they get recognized a lot lately. Iowa has not won a thing yet and they are getting recognized. Last time I checked both Iowa and Wheaton have been to regionals and nationals the same number of times. The difference here is that Wheaton isn't on here saying win some games and then you get recognized. You see, they have class. That's the point here. Wheaton = class. You = no class.
I think Charlie Brown said it best. "you are like school on saturday, NO CLASS"

uh oh he's mad now. sweet dallas cowboys reference, totally irrelevant (not sure if u know what that word means)
and as far as charlie brown goes, i disagree, its a very good quote, but i think the best quote comes from the mighty ducks, "it's not worth winning if you can't win big"
wheaton wins big all the time. yeh for sportsmanships and 0 wins |

I heard that wheaton wasn't very good. I don't think a lot of teams would try and act tough if they knew they weren't great. Plus, maybe such discipline is just a sign of little emotion or intensity.
