Now that we are a couple of weeks into the season, what teams do you think are going to be in the championship for both gold and silver divisions?
Here are my predictions

Gold
MSU VS IOWA

SILVER
Marquette vs Mckendree

I second your nominations, though MSU and McKendree will be the champions in each division.

When do the big gun seniors at McKendree graduate? Do those two stay all season or are they graduating during the season?

I say MSU vs Mizzou again. Although its hard to argue with Iowa, MSU seems like a lock and Mizzou beat up on a Kansas team (which beat Minnesota) and it looks like they went down to Kentucky last weekend and lost a close one and beat them 5-1. Should be a great season no matter what.

If you mean Dreyer and Roberts they are there for the whole season, but Donze has stepped up and is leading MCK in goals and points so far. They are also getting big points from freshman dave coleman

I know MSU is much deeper than they were last year 4 solid lines. McKendree wore their top two lines out last year. Also, I think if you played McKendree a couple of times last year you have a much better idea on how to defense their "no defense" style of play. They are very beatable if you have mobile defenseman and take advantage of their forwards leaving the defensive zone way too early.

I was told last year but a team official the Dreyer and Roberts were only going to be around half the season. With those two there all year they should be good to repeat. What happened to the human highlight reel Klueskins (sp)?

Actually once MSU saw their no defense style once. They beat the next game and took them into SD OT in the championship final and they are a better team this year. They will roll 3 and 4 lines. Will MCK still only play two lines? If they do they lose.

Boys,

It is way too early to call. Has SIUe even played a game yet? Teams are getting their new guys and systems up to speed. There is a whole lot of season ahead. Yes, MSU and Iowa are off to a strong start, but so is ISU. Missouri is improved from last season. SIUe is a total unknown with the coaching change, but they have a strong tradition of being in it every year. Then there is Kansas. Any of these teams could be there at the end. So why not enjoy the journey rather than imagining what the destination will look like. Have some fun along the way. MACHA is becoming a very deep league!

MSU
Iowa
ISU
Kansas
SIUe
Missouri

This is my top six for playoffs, and anything is possible after that.

mck is also deeper this year, like msu. they added coleman to their first line who is a very good player, who has stepped in well for a graduated ilges. donze has stepped up someone said? he was a first team all-conference last year and is a great player doing it again this year. i dont know if that is stepping up or playing like he always has. roberts and dreyer will be there all year. they also added some more players deep through to make another solid line. and why doesnt anyone ever mention chris donahue when mentioning mck? msu got better, so did mck...we should see them battle it out once again in the championship.

good luck to all.

I dont think Mck and Msu can play each other in the championship because they are both in the south conference

Maybe we will see a breakdown like this in playoffs....

1 gets a bye

2 North v 3 South
2 South v 3 North

Then go from there. Could be interesting this way and more fun for a lot of teams. Would be nice if 8 teams made it though instead of 6.
