Well, if you go by only one criteria -- wins and losses -- then that's correct. But, if you go by the full ranking criteria, things would and should be different. But, it's only the first ranking period. There's more to come.

By the way...the criteria:

Strength of Schedule
W/L Record based on Strength of Schedule
Comparitive scoring
Complying with ACHA Policies
Head to Head
General Knowledge of Voter
Overall W/L
Good Wins/Bad Losses/H & A Records

Some of these Northern teams lose to our silver teams...hopefully this doesn't become habit by the ranking committee. Your right though...it is just the first of 5.

Mizzou waxed Kansas 6-2 and 11-1. Iowa's schedule is weak. I could go on, but c'mon now. At least the other guys do homework.

Great, so when the next ranking comes out SLU will be ahead of Mizzou because they sweep them.

mo state will never be number 1 because of a northern bias but websports has a point for their msu boys. Who has illinois or iowa played? According to Msu's website and websports they have played Florida Gulf Coast (#1 in southeast conference), Davenport (#1 in their conference), Sienna (#1 in the northeast conference), Iowa state (ranked high in D1).
Granted thats 6 games and they only came out with 2 wins from those games but the 4 other games ended as one goal games.
Do close losses having any bearing on rankings? Probably not. But the rest of Msu's schedule seems relatively easy. We'll see what happens.

I can't speak for WSR. But, I don't think anybody expects MSU to go to #1 the next ranking. Wait till February when it matters.

Anyone that attacks someone without putting a name to it is just plain ignorant. I don't see where websportsradio ever said MSU should be #1. They said that based on the schedule they played at the time, the team should be considered as a #3. They also gave reasons to back their choice up. That more than can be said for everyone who bitches about something someone else says and never signs their name to it.

Well said...opinions are strongly encouraged on here, but to bash other programs repeatedly without even putting your name behind your statement is gutless, and chances are it serves no value to the person posting it, and therefore should be deleted because its a waste of time to read, all 2 seconds of it. If it is somewhat negative about a program, and you put your name behind it, at least we know if its a credible source or not.

Some posters have made great points for or against WSR, HP#32 (who do you play for?), Alo from ISU, and the others who post on here. Take credit for what you put on here. Hell, you may gain respect around the league for doing so. Spend the extra second to put at least your initials, number, and/or team you play for on your post. Its not that hard.

It really would have helped SLU to play Florida Gulf Coast but, that didn't happen due to a Zamboni break down.

It's been mentioned earlier, SLU lost to Arizona in St. Louis twice while DePaul beat Arizona twice in Tucson. Based on head to head, I would have to say that SLU is weaker then a DePaul so you can't move past them and I think they sit in fourth.
