In that first game if it went to a shootout then the game is a tie officially. Shootouts don't count in our league. They are equal to playing a pickup game between buddies.

Do the refs in East Alton get any memo's? I am guessing they do, but they don't actually read them, or even know how to read them. The refs in the St. Louis are even worse than usual this year. I think the system goes like this... adult + ref patch = good enough.

That's the same thing that happened to MSU against Robert Morris Chicago earlier in the season despite the protests of the coaches. Did the officials get the ACHA memo?? Or do they not care?

The ISU IceBirds tightened their grip on first place in the Northern Conference of the MACHA Silver Division with a four point weekend in East Alton, Illinois.
It took an overtime shoot-out Saturday night to earn two points, but Austin Saller and Ian Senne answered the call to give the IceBirds a win Saturday night, 4 to 3.
that from the ISU website
yeah, only 3 points but still a good weekend for those boys.

This forum has been created with the purpose to constructively discuss college club hockey. We encourage you to freely discuss any topic you wish, with the caveat that you keep the discourse within the bounds of good taste. While good natured trash-talking is fun, thought provoking and acceptable, any replies that turn personal, disrespectful and/or disruptive of the intent of this forum will be deleted by the moderators of this forum.
Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition.
Best of luck to ALL teams!
