MACHA Tournament Champ Prediction

As it stands right now, Iowa leads MSU by two points. Both teams are strong teams, but a season can change in a heart beat. Will Iowa be able to hold their lead as the regular season champ and then move on to win the tournament? Or will they lose to a decent SLU team, and MSU grasp ahold of their MACHA streak yet again?

Yeah thats a joke, two years in a row I have emailed the guy about stuff that needs to be updated, and it still took him months to fix it! Up until here recently, nobody had played any games according to the site!

I'm not the guy that bitched, but I'd be glad to help this site any way I can.

Who do I contact to volunteer?

I've been working with Craig with getting all of the scores in...He has a whole spreadsheet made for each division and everything is current, its just a matter of him putting it on the website.

To get back on the original topic, I think that Iowa does not have what it takes to win the tournament. Missouri State has a really good team and when it comes down to it, can beat Iowa.

I can certainly see your logic. Iowa sweeps MSU at home, and goes on to beat Iowa State the following weekend . Yep, makes perfect sense to me. Iowa's record of 20-5 is a fluke. Bunch of benders playing in a mall. Hey, my belly button looks like the Milky Way galaxy....

I agree. MSU is having a roller coaster ride, winning against a D1 then Florida Gulf, at the time the only team to get within a goal to Davenport, then losing, then unbeaten in 6 games, then imploding to Iowa. They are a better team, but hopefully can show it in the second half of the season.

Good test with Ferris and CMU coming up.

Wow 1:29..... Let's look at the facts. Iowa played Bradley!?!?, Minnesota, NIU, No. Iowa, Nebraska, EIU, KU, and RMC-Springfield to start the season. Their only tough opponent was DePaul and that was in the begining of the season and won in OT in a game that could have gone either way. So, they start 18-1.

Then get spanked by St. Thomas, catch MSU at a point of the season when they can't pull their head out of their backside, and the Iowa State win was not against a full squad.

Have they or will they play the Michigan teams, the Grand Valley's, the Davenports, the FGCU's the Ferris's, any ranked other ranked team in the 3 other divisions? NO! (Northern Michigan doesn't count)

So, on W/L record Iowa rocks! But if you look at the rankings properly, their strength of schedule compared to other teams, then Iowa does not rank at all. They are a good team record wise, just may not be good enough when it comes to playoff time right now.

I am the one that stated they had all 5 starters. I also stated I could care less about this MSU vs. Iowa pissing match.

Here are the facts, in head to head Iowa swept MSU, and that is what counts in that pissing match. If they end up tied in points in the league, who wins the tiebreaker? For right now, at this point in time Iowa, whether you think they are classy or not or deserver or not, wins that pissing match.

"Then get spanked by St. Thomas, catch MSU at a point of the season when they can't pull their head out of their backside, and the Iowa State win was not against a full squad."

OK, so when Iowa gets caught flat, they get spanked. But when MSU gets beat (at home) MSU simply had a bad weekend. And what about St. Thomas getting beat by Minnesota who Iowa also swept at their home rink?

But MSU is going to be ready come playoff time, but not Iowa, because...?

Cool, give Iowa no respect whatsoever. I'm looking forward to coming back here in a few months to replay this exchange.

Then bid for the tournament, if it affects you so bad. There is a lot that goes into scheduling a tournament that people don't realize. Everyone must have agreed with the US Ice Sports Complex, otherwise it wouldn't be there. And not many rinks have the luxury of two sheets either. So sorry the ScottTrade Center isn't available. And mind you, EVERYONE is playing on the SAME surface.

You sir are not particularly bright. The tournament was held at East Alton last year. Fairview Hts - East Alton two different rinks and many miles apart.
