I had the chance to watch 3 games this weekend (which is a first in about 4 years)
I wanted to give a shout out to Iowa.
This program has come full circle since I last remember. The team now looks professional, has a coaching staff that isn't rocking a eminem dress code, and finally has some players that can play hockey.
I was highly impressed with this team, and congrats on coming full circle over the past 5 years.

HAHAHAHA
I love this message, so many things wrong with it.
I can't even keep a straight enough face to waste my time to respond to this idiot. I mean really, is that a sentence?

Jason was never on the Board of directors for the MACHA his dad J.D. was which J.D. was also Marc's dad. Now there were a lot of accusations but unfortunatly no paperwork and info to support the claims. (Jason served I think originally as an official tournament coordinator consultant for the MACHA tournaments)
Jason thatnks for the comments and from those real fans that follow the MACHA dont let one prick with a big mouth discourage you (which I am sure you wont)

"it has been awhile since youve seen an iowa game. that or eminems new dress code is a dress shirt tie and iowa hockey jacket. and to clarify, i had an ecco jacket back in 04 when i started coaching."
"keep it up hawks. "
Kevin,
I invite you to continue to use this forum for what it is intended for...keeping in touch with games and such. You were an issue in the past, and still don't seem to have things click. I was being complimentary towards Iowa. I understand you might have been offended about my comment in regards to your "old" coaching wardrobe, and for that I apologize.
However, I will NOT tolerate on this forum any kind of slander based on ludicrous accusations and worthless opinion.
Please, feel free to use this board to check in on your team and such.
Sincerely,
jpower79
Jason

As far as rumors being spread, you can tell from the IP that I had no part in that. I check this forum for hockey and hockey only. However, when you take a dig at me (who at the time was a 21 year old recent grad volunteering my time because the league implemented a new rule requiring every team to have a coach) for my attire (warmth over fashion), tell me where the hockey value is in that? Maybe if you and multiple others had been paying more attention to the product I put on the ice and not what I was wearing, maybe we wouldnt have walked off the ice with the silver division title that year. On the other hand, I must have left some impression if 5 years later we are still talking about it.

I believe 5 years after the fact, you don't dress that way any longer. Respect for the game and such.
Again, I apologize if the comment was offensive. I didn't intend it to be. I recall you wearing a baggy jacket, low hung jeans, and a hat on backwards. Just stating the facts. As a program, it looks like a move in the right direction.
Many teams have won in this league over the years, based on talent alone...not coaching. You know this, I know this, we all know this.
As for impressions? Hell some of us are still talking about when the league was only 6 teams without matching jerseys...and it grew to a league of over 24 teams. Didn't happen overnight either.
Congrats, AGAIN, on that win by the way.

This forum has been created with the purpose to constructively discuss college club hockey. We encourage you to freely discuss any topic you wish, with the caveat that you keep the discourse within the bounds of good taste. While good natured trash-talking is fun, thought provoking and acceptable, any replies that turn personal, disrespectful and/or disruptive of the intent of this forum will be deleted by the moderators of this forum.
Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition.
Best of luck to ALL teams!
