Wow NIU coming out strong....hey Casey how are the gold standings shaping up where does SIUE fit in? are they ahead of or behind NIU? Do they play each other still? Very good game last night between McK and MSU Silver...5-3 final but I think we ended up getting out shot after we dropped into our oh so famous non-existent left wing lock/trap with a 5-2 lead and a pretty wide margin lead in shots heading into the third in the third MSU out shot us by a lot and ended up out shooting us in the game...Mike played VERY strong in net....Surprising our trap actually worked for once!

Standings are updated from last night; Iowa is up 3 points on Missouri State and have clinched a bye into the playoffs.
Going into today Mo State has a game in hand on Iowa, and a win today against SIUE coupled with anything less than a win for Mizzou would clinch a first round bye for Mo State. The remaining playoff positions look like this (4 spots, 5 teams):

What exactly are you saying. Was the door on the SLU bench, the penalty box, the Zam gate, what? Was this an attempt to foil the NIU 2-1 and end the two game losing streak of the Billikens. Or just the fault of a drunk Zamboni driver, lol. The Garage League saga keeps growing. Details please

For regards to what happened in OT for NIU, NIU player was skating up the boards on a 3 on 2, and wen he made the drop pass to his player the defenseman stepped up and hit him into the side door boards and it opened, therefore making the ref blow the whistle on the 2 on 1.

So with the Saturday NIU loss, the best they could do is 20 points if they sweep SIUe. ISU has 20 points with two games to go vs. Iowa. What is the tie breaker? Kansas rises above this fray with a second win over RMC-Spr. ISU and NIU split with ISU holding a +5 goal diferential total score 10 to 5.

Saturdays game was much more physical following a last-minute brawl Friday night.
After MSUs Paul Moellenberg and SIUEs Billy Menchak were disqualified Friday, Salman Shah and John Odenwald drew 10-minute misconducts Saturday. But surprisingly few penalties were issued during the heated contest, with 5 regular penalties against the Ice Bears and only 4 citations issued to the Cougars.
