| So what do you think is going to be the outcome? Word on the street is Iowa lost some key players. Will this have an effect on the weekend? I say SLU will play them tough either splitting or sweeping Iowa even though lately their track record says split. |

True - Iowa has lost some very key players. But they have now adjusted to the loss of these players namely (Rooke & Phelan). They also know what is at stake and will not under estimate SLU. Losses to SLU will cost them the MACHA Regular Season title and most likely a chance to qualify for regionals.
They have played a number of close games this season and expect these games to be the same. They have been in playoff mode since the MSU series last semester knowing that they hold their own fate based on the outcome of their games and do not have to depend on anyone else for help. It is the ideal situation to be in. Can they come through? To date they have meet every challenge snd I anticipate they will come through yet again.
The real question is what SLU team will show up? The one that just split with a tough Lindenwood team at home or the team that split with NIU a few weeks ago. SLU has been inconsistent at best, spliting all of their 2nd series in MACHA play. (Kansas, ISU, NIU)
Yes - Iowa split with Northern Michigan, but since that time NMU has split with Minnesota & RMC-Maroon. Iowa has not lost to any team that they should beaten on paper. A tie vs SIUE after thumping them 8-4 cost them a little, but they did out shoot them 49-32 in that game.
So will it be a consistent Iowa team hoping to take care of business for themselves or will the SLU boys prove to be too much. I suspect this will be one whale of a series.

SLU will continue to boggle your mind. They will win one, if not come close to a sweep. |

Is that what you call it a "boggle"?
Iowa sweeps at home at the mall, SLU dines at the food court. |

Yeah Iowa sweeps the floors to pay for their season while SLU eats at the food court after beating Iowa in both games. |
