Key Weekend For Macha RESPECT

As much as i'd like to see SLU take one from IOWA and have MSU sweep so that they take the regular season title... Id much rather see both Iowa and MSU sweep and both represent themselves in the regional tournament. Both are currently just barely in regionals (iowa #7 and MSU #10) but bad losses by either team could be bad news as Iowa plays SLU and MSU goes up against Kansas this weekend. Word on the street is that Iowa had some players leave or something like that but MSU currently has about 6 injuries of their own to an assistant captain, starting goalie, as well as other key players. I guess what i'm asking is... Who has the better chance at a mess up this weekend?

when do the rosters for regionals have to be set. When do gold teams have to pull up any players needed?

Jan 31st. was the date to set the rosters with the ACHA. That includes any possible call ups or injuries, meaning if a team thinks they will need JV players to fillout their roster  (mostly affecting Missouri State and Iowa for Regionals) then those players should have been rostered on the Varsity squad's roster before the 31st.

Not sure if MACHA follows the ACHA's rules, but I'm fairly sure that's the case too.

Doesn't that only correspond to schools with D2 and D3 team? I believe the rule is that the D2 teams have to be set by Jan 31st. Considering that both Mo State, Iowa, SIUE, etc., teams are both D2, they can still juggle players for playoffs. Each of the organizations fall under the D2 umbrella.

A team like Lindenwood on the other hand, has to freeze their rosters as they have a D1 and D2 team; their D1 and D2 teams are now (at least they should be) set in stone. Players cant come up, nor can they play down.

Kich, I believe both the ACHA the rosters for D1 and D2 have to be set by the 31st. Now, if the MACHA follows ACHA (which technically is the governing body -- like the NCAA rule book is the governing body of the ACHA -- with some exceptions) then regardless if both teams are D2, the roster must be set prior to playoffs -- Jan. 31st.

Now, if MACHA has that exception to the ACHA in its rules, then yes, teams can move players for playoffs, but I don't think that's the case.

II. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
A. General Player Eligibility

2. No Mens Division 2 player may be added to a team roster after January 31.

From the ACHA manual, therefor all MACHA teams cannot add players to their roster for MACHA league playoffs.

Except if a team puts a player in a jersey of a guy left over on their roster that was set before Jan. 31. Yea, like that never has happened. Have they wised up yet and started checking ID's?
