Had 39 Total for our GOLD Team tryouts last night.
4 G 9 D 26 F Going to keep 22.
We are expecting another 18 plus the majority of the players who do not make GOLD to tryout for BLACK.
About what we expected. A little light defensively.
Overall we are pleased that our numbers continue to grow.

I just looked at Iowas roster and couldn't believe two things. Number one, they are essentially a team from the state of Illinois. Number two, they won the league last year and they have alot of returning players who are young. The staff up there deserves alot of credit for what they have accomplished. They truely have put themselves in a position to win the league. They knocked off Missouri State last year. Can they do it again, and can they make regionals?

We still have a few more players we are looking at for both teams.
Iowa City is really just a FAR west suburb of Chicago.
Can't seem to get more Iowa kids to come here. They play at that other Iowa school for some reason. If we can keep playing Iowa State like our last game against them, maybe we can snag one here and there.
Thanks for the compliment. Good Luck everyone. See you all soon.

This forum has been created with the purpose to constructively discuss college club hockey. We encourage you to freely discuss any topic you wish, with the caveat that you keep the discourse within the bounds of good taste. While good natured trash-talking is fun, thought provoking and acceptable, any replies that turn personal, disrespectful and/or disruptive of the intent of this forum will be deleted by the moderators of this forum.
Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition.
Best of luck to ALL teams!
