Did the storm have any impact on the attendance? The photos from last year looked awesome.

there were only about half as many people as last year. kind of a bummer but it was still a cool atmosphere, way more people than any regular game between these two teams, or any teams for that matter.

Glad there was a good atmosphere and it sounds like everyone had fun. I was at the MSU MU games last weekend in Springfield and that was a fun time. Glad the fire marshall wasn't there...

Mckendrees alumni beat the current team while mck's alum had the teams starting goalie while the current team played 3 goalies who havent seen the ice all season. there was one ref who did not call anything, no checking or physical play. congrats alumni. you guys are sick.

Wow, McKendree is still classy I see. A current player talking trash to their alumni. I guess nothing ever changes with that team. But I was thinking, isn't McKendrees current goalie also an alumni because he graduated already and is in the Grad program. So he is officially considered an alumn.

No physical play? How's that kids arm feeling? I even think their star player got dumped a couple times. Oh, and the ref gave out penalty shots...which the current team only scored on once. Someones feeling a little salty that they got showed up by bunch of has beens.

I think Mckendrees current team should be happy there was no physical play. Because everyone in the league knows if you hit their superstar number 10 he becomes a non factor in the game..

I was told by someone close to the situation that several players were caught forging letters saying they were going out of town for hockey to get out of classes and tests. I also heard that a few may get kicked out of school because of this.

I think its stop for EIU to call it quits cause they are only giving the University a bad name and themselves as well. They seem to be running into problems on and off the ice the past 3 years and it makes them look really bad!

This is why it is important to have a non-hockey playing, non-student adult running the team. You just don't see this stuff happen AS MUCH in those situations.

I think it is imprtant for all the annonamous posters to quit talking about rumours that you heard. EIU despite not being in MACHA is a very good team that will give the league increased credibility in years to come.

Every few years ACHA teams will have down years, like Depaul; WIU; Marquette; NIU; but they all seem to bounce back as is the cyclical nature of good teams and clubs.

EIU is a young team that is playing hockey each and every weekend, and like your team they must deal with Faculty advisors who have no to no interest in Hockey. Run by a Student Player in the past, MACHA voted to discountinue them as a member due to rule violations like not showing up to the Annual meeting.

Look at EIU's record this year. Other than one lobsided loss to Missouri State (First Game of Year), this team has competed and beaten some of MACHA's best.

Why does it say Mo State has clinched MACHA playoffs? I know it is likely that they will but that have not mathematically done it yet. Kansas can still make it, as well as Iowa. If Iowa wins out against MU then they have 16 points. If Kansas wins out against SLU, then they have 14 points. MSU only has 14 points and lost two games to Kansas so they would be below Kansas. MSU has not clinched.
