Prediction?... Pain
Ok, on a serious note. RMU appears to be deeper and win that category. BU has a strong goalie and I would compare them to a team like McKendree last year. They seem to be very similar.
They have a common opponent in RMU Black. With both teams wining by 8 or 9 goals. This is a big game for both teams for several reasons.
It's a tough call. I would think RMU is a stronger team but they have had some talent in the past that didn't come through. |

To all,
Lets keep it clean and let the kids play and the coaches coach.
Should be the best comp each team has faced all year.
A few stats if they mean anything.
BU has scored 224 goals in 12 games
RMU has scored 191 in 8 games
Goalie stats
BU top netminder 8-0 1.57 GAA 3 SO 194 svs & 94 sv%
RMU top netminder 8-0 1.88 GAA 2 SO 224 svs .094 sv%
MYHockeyrankings.com
BU ranked 21 in D3
RMU ranked 6 in D3
Team Record Rating AGD Sched
Bradley University 8-0-0 10.72 5 5.72
Robert Morris University - Peoria 6-0-0 13.3 6 7.3
Expect that the top lines will play from both teams, so not sure if you can give depth vote to either team. Top three O lines on both teams are too much for either teams fourth line. Check player points on each team, after the top nine forwards, the drop off in player points is huge.
RMU may have a advantage, but I call it a push.
May come down to a bad line change or match up.
Which F/D makes a critical mistake.
Which goalie stands on his head
Should be a great weekend of hockey
Best of luck to both teams - players, coaches and fans.

Rmu outscores bu 9-4 between the two games, sweeping the weekend. |

Yeah, I think someone needs to redo their math.
As far as what I stated before, I feel RMU has a deeper bench. Yes BU lines 1 - 3 may be better than RMU's 4th line but I don't think that BU's 1 - 3 lines are better than RMU's 1 - 3 lines. RMU looks like they can roll three lines a lot easier. We will see. If you do want to look at myhockeyrankings.com for any stats then you can see that BU strength of schedule is 11th from the bottom. With all that I still can't make a prediction because BU probably has the best goalie in the league right now and is probably a goalie that a lot of the MACHA D2 teams would like to have. |

It's hard to say based on their schedules so far, as both teams have played nothing but weak teams. Rmu played mckendree, bu played Missouri state, both teams winning pretty big. In looking at their rosters, I think it would be a pretty huge embarrassment for rmu if they lost any games this year . I don't know how they have recruited so many kids from new York, Canada, California to come to Peoria to play hockey(d3 silver nonetheless). With the exception of two kids on bradley, everyone is from Illinois. Additionally, the top Robert Morris lines seem to have all come from some sort of junior A/B program. I see Bradley has I think one player( their goalie) that has played juniors. Why aren't some of these rmu kids playing in Chicago atleast for the maroon or gold team?
As for the games I have to say rmu sweeps, unless Bradley's goalie is as good as people here have indicated and can somehow keep them in it. But looking at the stats it appears on paper rmu's goalie is just as good. These should be probably the best games both teams will be playing all year, it seems everyone else kind of falls off after these teams in terms of talent. |

I have seen both teams play, rmu a few times and I can say I really think rmu and Bradleys first lines are about as equal as it can get. Rmu has a bigger first line, Bradley probably a little faster. Bradley's second line is gonna be just as good as rmu's as long as they have good d pairings. Its gonna come down to coaching mistakes and trying to use either teams 3rd and 4th lines too much or at times where mistakes will hurt them |

Should be a good weekend, but long term, BU player departures will hurt.
Goalie done with school at the end of the year as well as one top forward.
One D is out of for a while, sick, one F maybe out as well with an injury.
Walking wounded, but no excuses for this round.
Important round will be at the end of the year.
Winning all your games during the season to get bounced in the first round does not look good on a coaching resume. |

Since when is everyone on this board well behaved? Can someone say something ignorant already?
With that being said I think that MSU d3 and MCK are stumbling and probably a lost cause for the season. It's up to Bradley and Peoria this year. I guess the only thing to do is sit back and watch. You also don't know at this point how playoff positions are going to play out.
I haven't looked at either teams schedule, but one would assume it will probably be those guys at d3 regionals. They are d3 right? |

What's the line on the coaches.
Steel vs. Sanchez
Last year steel's team took the end of year important games.
call it as you see it.
So far, Steel has done a nice job managing the bench while kids are hurt, sick or against better comp.
Whats the line on Sanchez? |

What's the line on the fact that Robert Morris has more talent? |
