| What's the deal with the club this year?
I thought they had 2 or three years of some success, but where did the team go?
Bad players? Bad goal tending? Does the team just suck this year, or did everyone else just get that much better? |

Don't write off SLU just yet. They are playing better and I still expect them to make the playoffs. Assuming they sweep Kansas this weekend (as everyone else has done), they only need to win one game against MSU the final weekend at home to make the playoffs since at 17 points, they would win the tiebreaker with NIU if NIU were to sweep Mizzou this weekend. An interesting scenario would be if NIU sweeps Mizzou and SLU and MSU split (with MSU winning the goals differential). There would be a 3 way tie on identical 8-7-1 records and 17 points. Would SLU win the tiebreaker with the better head to head record (3-1) against the other two or does a 3 way tie have different rules??? |

Life got tougher this season for SLU in 11-12. Last of the old D1 players gone = losing record. Honest answer now, it is what it is. | |
