Have you ever been a fan, Michael? A fan of a TV series or a fan of an actress or whatever else? I think not otherwise you would not be here asking me why I like Robert Wagner. I said I'm a fan of him. A fan is a fan. You like an actor, like the work he does, get interested in his career, and his personal life...and so on..that's just as simple even if it may look stupid or childish to some...
To widen a little your question, it seems to me that your reasoning is more or less the same as judging a person from his annual income...Is your list what makes a person's worth? And the more you show how good you are (Again, not you personally), the more 'status' you get among your fellow neighbors?
And speking for RJ involvement with charities -thanks Anonymuos for the infos- he does not need to have that on a billboard at the entrance of the freeway!
Aren't you, Michael a bit....if I may...boastful? It does not mean that what you do isn't good...
