i was suggesting that you look into that. i'm sure that the laws have changed but back then drinking and partying and boating went hand in hand. i remember that one of the harbor patrol guys, doug oudin, i believe, said that the people on the wagner boat were no more intoxicated than any other boaters on the weekend...it was a way of life for boaters on catalina island. it would be interesting to know the specifics, then and now as far how the laws have changed.
