While this won't help Mr. Anonymous be convinced of anything, it will tell those of us who are normal that the woman did her research, and didn't just put her own words and thoughts into her book.

I never once said she didn't do any research or conduct interviews. But you don't seem to get that. sigh
My problem is with how she PRESENTED what she culled during the research and interviews. Big difference. I can talk to 400 people too, but if I only use selected quotes (perhaps even out of context) in an effort to support my agenda, well there you go. Easy to do.

You are assuming she took quotes out of context. Why don't you give her the benefit of the doubt? I think that is a legitimate question I am asking you.
I'll tell you my theory as to why you won't: because it looks unfavorably on R.J., whom you claim you are neutral on.
Yeah, right!

My second thought is this: Even if Finstad only published quotes that agreed with her own theory, then they still are not her own words. It tells us that others - many others, evidently - agree with her. Add me to that list.
By the way, I read some quotes in there that were not always in agreement with Finstad's theories. Some, in fact, seemed perposterous(Sp.?)! Ex.: That lady in the next door boat who claimed she always sleeps with the windows open, regardless of the weather! Like she's really gonna allow herself to get rained on, or her equipment to, or be kept awake by the noise of the rain and wind!
She was lying, in my opinion.

Finstad never interviewed Davern. Lana Wood told Finstad that Davern called her one night and spilled out the account she eventually used in her book. Didn't happen (Davern didn't call Lana) but Finstad went with Lana's account based on a drunken phone call that never happened. It is a fact, Finstad never talked to Davern. They never had an interview. Davern refused to talk to Finstad.
Davern did talk to Kashner of the Y2K Vanity Fair article, at which point the authorities should've became involved again. If there is someone to blame for the mystery of Wood's death still being alive, it is with authorities, who obviously botched an investigation into this case.
This is not to say that Finstad didn't come close with her account. She based her info on Lana Wood's stories (are they true?) and also on Sam Kashner's Vanity Fair article. She had little sources beyond that, so even she bashed the one person we can find the truth from--Davern. Davern was working on his story with his own author. That's the story we all need to hear.
Some of Finstad's info wasn't allowed to be used in the ABC movie based upon her book. Finstad accomplished a detailed, often tedious, Wood biography, but she wasn't able to answer the msytery of how Wood lost her life. Hopefully, that infomation will eventually come from reliable sources. I wouldn't discount Davern as a reliable source. I've read his accounts in various articles and I don't notice that he ever changed his account. I notice that his story grows. Seems whatever he has said that stuck, Wagner ends up confirming! We didn't know anything about Wagner breaking a wine bottle in anger for the first 10 years after Wood's demise. Davern comes out with it, and, voila! in Lambert's book, Wagner confirms it! A bunch of lies surrounding Wood's death still need to be explored. Maybe we should start believing the only person who wants the truth revealed! Davern.

Hmmm...sounds like this "Bobby" person is really Marti Rulli in disguise.
(LOL)
I agree, we do need to read what Dennis has to say after all these years. But, is he just going to waste our time again, or is he going to tell us all he knows finally?
I'm open to hearing what he has to say, but let's get on with it!
p.s. Dennis did phone Lana. Whomever you are, you're wrong about that. Davern has confirmed that. Now, just what was said is debatable, but he definitely did call her.

the mystery of natalie wood was a tv movie based on the life and death of natalie wood. it was loosely based on finstad's book, directed by peter bogdanovich and co-produced by lana wood.

Another ancient thread brought up by the TROLL QUEEN! Why doesn't she just stay on Vladdie Pie's blog and dream up more crapola stories with RJW and Mimi and GailR and the rest of the gang in pea brain.
ROFL
