I thought I should introduce myself to the boards. I'm Stephanie and I'm 16. I've been a fan of Natalie's for about a year now. I know it's not much, but I've learned so much already and I'm so glad I found out about her when I did. I've been reading the posts around here but have been hesitant to join because of all the fighting I have seen. Anyway, I run NatalieWoodFan.co.nr and thanks to many other Nat fans, I think it's become quite a sucess. I'm constantly updating with new things. Hmmm. I don't like to focus on Natalie's death a lot but I think that by reading about it, I can learn new things.

Below, I copied and pasted part of your Natalie bio from your website. I know you are only 16, and what you have done is a wonderful tribute to Natalie, but you should have done your homework on this particular subject. It was not Natalie's custom to ever take out a dinghy to star gaze. She was deathly afraid of water and never went near it. Davern didn't discover the dinghy missing. Wagner had one dinghy. He didn't look for his wife. In fact, he delayed over 2 hours in calling for any kind of help. There are several sources available for the "truth" but the one I suggest is the 2000 Vanity Fair article with an interview with the Captain himself. Also, there were NO rough seas that weekend. It was drizzling for a while, but the winds were calm and the sea was smooth. Again, what you have created for Natalie is wonderful, but it can be misleading when you don't get facts correct for something as gigantic as the mysterious, tragic death of this talented, legendary woman. Welcome to the forum where there's all "the fighting." If you don't want to dwell on Natalie's death, this isn't the place for you, but your website won't be the place for others, either, if you don't chance some of your information. I almost cut you a break because of your age, but not when it comes to Natalie Wood. Good Luck, and hello.
From your site:
The evening began at about 4;00 pm as the trio dined at the Harbor Reef Restaurant. Witnesses claim that this is when things began to unravel. Waitresses at the restaurant saw the trio drink several bottles of champagne and state that the three patrons eventually caused a rude and rowdy ruckus with Natalie openly flirting with Walken. They left the restaurant in a drunken mess, boarded a small dinghy and motored to the Splendour. Exactly what happened from this point forward will probably always be a bit unclear. Walken, Wagner and Wood continued their partying as Captain Davern began his last rounds of shutting down the boat. At around 12:20 am Davern noticed that the dinghy was gone. Davern simply assumed Natalie had taken it, as was her custom, to view the evening stars. When she didn't return minutes later, Davern notified Wagner of her absence who immediately set out in another dinghy to look for her. At about 1:00 am Wagner notified the harbor patrol to scout for her. At around 3:30 am the Coast Guard was added to the search party. At 7:30 am helicopters would discover her body, floating face down some two hundred yards from the boat.

I don't trust IMDB very much but I just simply copied it. I didn't bother to read it over. I'm sorry you can't enjoy the site as much as others seem to, but I will fix it soon when I have time. And I'm curious as to why everyone is listed under "anonymous" names.

the reason is that a while back there were some idiots who were impersonating us, posting things in our names that we did not say...since then i have used anonymous and will continue to...by the way, your site is wonderful. IMDB is not the most reliable site. Even her biography section has inaccuracies.

We had a problem a few months ago where some idiots were signing in as other posters and posting ridiculous messages under our names. Some of us got really fed up and began posting as Anonymous.
Welcome to the group!

LOL, Anonymity becomes important as you age. Just want to say that I didn't say I din't enjoy your site. I really DID enjoy it, and I think it's a wonderful tribute. Not many people your age would take the time, and I completely appreciate that you have. You chose a deserving subject and person, and I wish you the best with it.

leave her alone. she is 16 and has been a fan for a year. she has done a wonderful job on her natalie fansite..better that the authorized CMG fansite by a mile and they have access to a lot more so there is no excuse for the errors in their biography section.
