I am so very tired of all the negative and slanderous things that you say and have said about my mother, that I think you ought to call me directly. I think you ought to pass my number on to Vlad as well. My husband would like to speak to him as well.
Most of you (not all of course) should be ashamed. This website was brought to my attention when a classmate of my ten year old son decided to do a project on Natalie. The principal called me into school because the girl who found it, told everyone that Nick's parents are on drugs, steal money, and his Grandma is a lying stealing quack. I would really like to thank you all for that. I have three children at that school who were teased and ridiculed because of VLAD? Call me Vlad. Be a man and say those things to my face. I will even put my mother on the phone and you can say mean things to her. She is a senior citizen and DISABLED. We would really love to hear what you have to say.
I am a regular person who has never said ONE word in the media, and would rather not be related to anyone famous. For any of you to sit and speculate and lie about myself, husband, or mother is truly proof that you need to get a better hobby than speaeking about dead people that you never personally met. How about positive thought for everyone involved in the tragedy. I have been hurt, my children have been hurt and not by anything that was in our control or of our doing.

I, Evan Taylor Smedley Maldonado have been married for 14 years. I have three children. Last year, due to medical bills and having to take out a second mortgage on our home (which we lived in for 12 years), we lost our home to foreclosure. You can look it up online, or I can scan whoever would like them, copies of the trustee sale notices. My husband nor myself are not on "dope" and my husband has worked at the same company for 11 years. He has the same bank account that he opened when he moved to California in 1986. Neither of us has ever been arrested and NO ONE in my house (including Lana) drinks alcohol EVER. None of us smoke. I am in remission from Hodgkins Lymphoma nodular schlerosis. I lost one lung and my thyroid to complications. I have trouble breathing every day of my life. I am 33 years old. I have nothing NOTHING positive come out of being related to Natalie. I have only been hurt, ridiculed, stared at, pointed at, and had perfect strangers speak ill of my family and act like they know everything about us. How many of you would like to have that? I will gladly trade.
I would like to thank any of you who are kind and loving people who do not condone hurting or insulting innocent people. If any of you have something negative or positive to say, you can call me. Please remember that there are innocent children that USED to think it was pretty cool that their aunt was famous and loved by many. They no longer feel that way. They dont understand.
Mr. Eastman, I think that you and I and Lana know that all you say is not exactly truthful, but you can call me as well. Thank you for any prayers or money that you say you sent. I did receive many get well cards, and your name does seem familiar.

Hello, Evan, if it really is you. I checked your area code and it does verify your city. I know where your hometown is/was, so it checks out.
I will try to call you. If this really is you, sweetheart, you have no idea how much compassion I have for you and your husband and children. I have always cared about you and your family. I have prayed for you, as has my church, as you battled that dreadful disease. I have no beefs with you. Your mother knows how kind I always was to her in person and via e-mails.
And you are right, some things I have posted here about her were inappropriate, but I never said those awful things about you or your husband. I don't know who did, as I have never read that before. About my terrible comment about R.J. tossing her overboard, I am sorry about that. Please read my official apology on that. My main issue with your mother is that I paid her for an interview, albeit an e-mail one, giving her $250.oo in Chicago at the Hollywood Collector's Show, and she promised, not once, but many times over the following months, that she would reply to them. Because she never did after my reminding her about it, I took offense. I felt that was wrong of her to do that. That's really my main issue with her. I have a nice photo of her and I together in Burbank, and I have good memories of meeting her there, and then again in Burbank.
Because of my anger about the non-interview, I let that get the best of me, and wrote bad things about her. I am sorry. I will try to do better from now on. She also, though, was very inconsistent with me in e-mails. She would be in touch with me for a few months about this case, and then I wouldn't hear from her for over a year or whatever. Recently, she sent me an invite e-mail to one of those dumb internet groups to join her "friends" list. I repsonded to it, signed up, and then never heard from her after contacting her. Marti Rulli also has the same complaint. We both just shook our heads about that.
I do care about your mother, too, and should not have gone as far as I did with my anger. As you can see here, some people get me to a point where I forget I am a christian. Just human, I guess. Speaking of that, there are a lot of losers here on this forum, and I am sorry you've been exposed to them. I am very much pro-Natalie, and sweetheart, I know there is much more to the story than what R.J. has revealed. I do not believe your mother's account as told to Suzanne Finstad, because Dennis Davern, who was there, vehemently denies her claims. I know from your mom's e-mail to me one time, that he did tell her certain things, but not that story about him doing nothing about her being in the water. Dennis NEVER saw Natalie in the water - NEVER! I went right to the source for that (although via his authorized spokesperson).
Evan, I will be arriving in Burbank this coming Wednesday morning, and will be in southern California for three days. I would like to meet with you, if possible. You have no idea how I have longed to meet you and your family. I am so thankful to God that you are still alive and your children are healthy. I have always had tremendous respect for your husband, too. Lana said he had to work two jobs just to keep up with the bills. That is a very good husband and father, in my opinion! Also, I was not aware that your mother is now disabled. I am sorry to learn that, and wish her the best always.

I also want to be fair to both your mom and Dennis Davern, but their stories about seeing Natalie in the water do not agree. If your mom is telling the truth, than that would make Dennis an accomplice to her death. Should a journalist not check out that claim?

Michael, you are not a journalist. You are an individual who is attempting to capitalize off the death of a Hollywood celebrity. You do not possess a degree in jounalism, nor do you have any training in this particular occupational field.

Michael has a bloated sense of self importance. By referring to himself as a "journalist", he is attempting to give his posts more credibility than they actually have. Anybody can collect old tabloid articles, and put them into book form, such as what Mr. Eastman has done, but journalism requires specialized training.
Whether or not I am, as you put it, "Mr. Anonymous", is entirely irrelevant. What is relevant is that we are dealing with a mentally unstable person, named Michael J. Eastman. This man is delusional, and quite possibly dangerous.

One might add here, to this Michael evaluation, before Michael, himself, responds with his name-calling to those who don't agree with him, that it is not his belief that Wood's death was non-accidental that has everyone in an uproar. Most intelligent people can clearly see that Wood's death is surrounded by many unanswered questions. What's disturbing is that it is only people like Mr. Eastman at this stage who is still willing to investigate her death. It is Michael's deranged way of going about things that is so disturbing. He posts things from his bravado stance, he teases with his so-called knowledge, and he preaches of his God he hides behind, and he comes off as a true mental case. I checked out his publisher. It is a self-publishing company. In other words, Michael is paying to have his words published. That means, everything he titles himself (journalist, author, insider, whatever)is purely self-appointed. Did anyone realize this? I wondered how or why a publisher would work with this kind of nutcase. Now, I realize it is because he is paying for it. No sane publisher would have taken on this kind of grumbler. This is the kind of person who will destroy any possibility of ever learning more about Wood or any other kind of important study. I'm sick of reading Michael's twisted mind here. Is anyone but this occasional visitor interested in stopping him? There are ways. Ask and I will tell. It is just after midnight and I must work tomorrow, but I need to add one more thing to my previous suggestion. If Mr. Eastman's book ever sees the light of day, everyone here will be responsible. You complain about him, but you do little about it. I am posting here this evening to let you know that something can be done about it. I work for a firm that can put pressure on these "pay-for-view" publishers who take on the nutcases of the world. We can have have Mr. Eastman stopped in his tracks. If anyone agrees with this need, drop a post, and I will take it from there. Please let me know if it is worth it. Your posts will be used to show Mr. Eastman's publisher that he is not equipped to handle something as serious and libel as the unfinished business of Natalie Wood's untimely death. I'm certainly concerned about Natalie's daughters. The only way I knew to warn them was to go through Robert Wagner's official website. Be that as it may, the important thing is stopping Michael J. Eastman, and maybe even getting him some professional help.

Natalie's daughter's have nothing to do with this. They have lived through books written about their mother's death. Why does everyone try to protect Robert Wagner? No one, including Wagner and Eastman gives a damn about Natalie or Lana or Evan.

I wasn't warning them about Michael's book, which they couldn't care less about, I was alerting them to Michael's existence, and to the existence of his disturbed postings on this site. What Michael is doing is classic stalker methodology, and we have a duty to warn, or at least attempt to warn, all of those individuals who might be a target for Michael. Whether or not you like Robert Wagner personally is a secondary, and selfish, issue.

I am the person whom Michael calls "Mr. Anonymous" and I'd like to add my two cents.
While I wholeheartedly disagree with Michael's theory of what happened that night, and I do agree Michael has more than one or two screws loose, and I furthermore am repeatedly on record disapproving of someone trying to profit off of another person's misfortune, I am NOT one for stopping someone from writing whatever it is they'd like to write. We do, after all, have freedom of speech in this country. Now, should Michael go overboard in his deranged accusations and venture into the libel waters, well that's what we have a legal system for and Michael and his fly-by-night publishing company will have to pay the consequences. But employing whatever "secret" pressure you may have, Concerned, to stop his book is not the way to go about it, in my book (no pun intended).
As for what he posts on this site, those of us who disagree with Michael's theories are not letting him get away with anything, as you can tell by the number of posts responding to his nonsense. I think that anyone WITH AN OPEN MIND who visits this site and reads through the posts can discern reason from rash accusations.
