Does anyone have any thoughts about why this movie wasn't more successful? I happen to think it's extremely underrated. Mel Ferrer was angry that he wasn't being paid as much as Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood, and the producer told him that he wasn't actually a star, he was just married to one.

I loved this movie. I feel the same way. Natalie deserved far more credit for this part. The book, ad ifficult one to create a screenplay from, was adapted as well as could be expected. Natalie far surpassed the content. Without her, it would have been a total flop. WIth her, it's a fun film to this day.

Wasn't this movie based on a book by Helen Gurley Brown? Gawd, where has the time gone? I read that book when I was 14 but never saw this movie with Natalie.

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy props from this film?
