If Natalie fell in the water while re-tying the dinghy as Wagner theorized, why didn't she simply grab onto the dinghy and paddle back to the boat which was a few feet away rather than paddle to shore which was hundreds of feet away. Even under the influence of alcohol the average person would have the sense to paddle to the point that was closest to them, especially in very cold water. Another piece of this tragedy that does not make sense.

No one to this day or no one will ever know how Natalie got into the water. I agree it's simple when she fell into the water get back into the Splendour. The only scenario that fits is that she was actually in the dinghy and fell out of the dinghy away from the Splendour

That makes even less sense. She was wearing a nightgown. If she had any intention of going anywhere she would have worn clothes plus she was terrified of dark water. Natalie Wood would not have gone off in a dinghy at night in her nightgown. She was not wearing underwear! I don't give us "she was drunk". People do not lose all their senses and forget fears that haunted them their entire life because they had a few drinks. She never got in that dinghy. She never re-tied the dinghy. Her husband knows how she got in that water but he will never tell. GNGS will tell us what led to her death.
