I just left a post on another thread that said I respected her dignity, but if she's going to allow things to be posted here, well, I don't go for that. There are tens of thousands of people who know that we never learned the truth about Natalie's death until this book and it ALL rigns TRUE! All of these people will know soon because I believe Rulli will come on through with getting this case reopened. This just can't go ignored. Their are people in justice who DO care about justice! I just finished reading GNGS. Although I accidentally came into this hornet's nest, still believing in my dreamworld memories of having first met them all, the book changed my perspective of what actually went on that night, that a absolutely horrendous investigation completely missed. I was just around 100yds away from Splendor that night. The seas were flat as glass, absolutely no doubt about that. If Natalie had drown the night before, she no doubt would have been pounded into an unrecognizable pulp against the rocks in that cove. But her body never hit the rocks, because the seas were that flat.

So there were no dingies or launches banging up against the side of any yachts on that Saturday night. Majority of yachts only load from Starboard Gangways or stern swimsteps if they are fishing boats. So their launch could have only been tied to stern or Starboard (as RJ claimed "Well the launch is normally tied to starboard = copout). If tied to Starboard on a fishboat, you most commonly tie off fore and aft to an outrigger to keep the launch from banging against the hull in rough seas held off the side. In calm seas like that night you would most likely tie off to stern for convenience in boarding it for trips back and forth to Two Harbors Ferry Dock. Which is not more than 100yds from where they were moored as a bird flys.

Especially not Splendor's Port side where the headboard of Natalie's Master Stateroom Bed is up against (built in). I've been through Splendor's Master Stateroom myself. Because there is no walk around deck to bypass it. You are forced to either go through it or up to the bridge and down into the salon. Any fool can see that as impractical, going up and down ladders to get through the boat. The music playing that night was loud and could only be coming from a point that was in the open on any boat. We could not tell the direction, only that it was annoying at that time of night to hear someone playing music, when that what you came to Two Harbors, Catalina in the first place.

The book reveals new information that was backed up by RJ himself. Such as the fight and subsequent breaking of the bottle of wine. It also details the fact that Dennis had to take Natalie into shore the night before to stay in a Hotel. The detectives were unaware of these key points that would have for certain had a further investigation taking place alone. But why did RJ not dispute the claims in the media, that Natalie had gone out to retie the launch in glass like conditions and fell in? He knew better. He also knew Natalie would never attempt to take the launch on her own to go party drunk and dressed in pajamas, socks and only a jacket. Why did he allow the media to spread this mis-information as the cause for his wife's death, even years after?

A re-investigation is the only thing that can bring out the truth of what actually happened that night and just how badly the first one was so badly handled. Not entirely because the detectives made bad decisions as the fact that all the key witnesses except Marilyn, were holding back the full truth of the circumstances of that night. That would of course include Chris, Dennis and Robert Wagner. Chris was aware of the fight, the detectives would have loved to have heard about.... why did he keep his mouth shut? Dennis was aware of the fight and chose to keep quiet. Whether out of fear of either concerns for RJ or fear of him. Not only that he undoubtedly had his own self interest concerns with having been drunk as the captain of yacht responsible for the safety of his guests!

Right or wrong that night, information crucial to Natalie's Death was withheld from the detectives. That could have most likely turned the investigation from merely being an unfortunate accident, into being a possible criminal case. There were many careers at stake that night. Christopher Walken's dead silence speaks volumes. The story changes from both Dennis and Robert Wagner tell us they knew their career's were in jeopardy. No contest on the Coroner, who failed to fully disclose the facts himself, though he most likely knew them.

What Marti Ruli has endeavored to do with this book, is get many unanswered questions answered about that night. The book does an excellent job of exposing the inconsistencies and anyone denying this is in denial themselves. We can only hope that this case is reopened. Not just for the sake of finding out more of what happened, but to either clear of convict the people responsible for Natalie Woods death. If I was RJ and I was innocent or a fan and thought he was, then I'd be looking at this as a chance to once and for all clear myself of any suspicions or that my you as fans that believe him, can all rest in peace that nothing criminal went on that night! .....so for Simone and the rest of you, why are you fighting against this case simply being re-opened as if your life's depend on it!!!

If anyone, however remotely accused me of harming a loved one I wouldn't care who they were, who I was or who might get hurt in the wake I would come forward and demand a full investigation be opened. The seas were very, very rough, you say? All the more reason for quick action by the devoted husband. If the seas were as rough as this report states then Wagner should have been in a panic with worry the possibility that his wife was out there alone in the dark, rough waters. In the Lambert biography he said that he was not immediately worried and his actions verify that statement. It took him 4 hours to become worried enough to consent to a Coast Guard search, 2 hours to do a general radio call. In between he claims to have sat and drank. What odd behavior considering his wife, who was petrified of deep, dark water and was unable to swim , was out there amid the very, very rough seas.

All that cretin does is dispute with either a bold faced lie or a statement that can be stripped apart within seconds as you have done. If the sea was as rough as claimed the only logical thing to do would be to assume my wife was out in the dinghy, partying on another boat. The seas were rough Friday night in Avalon, not Saturday night at the Two Harbors. Dr. Taylor in Goodbye Natalie, who was moored near Splendour says the same thing as Mustang. The seas were smooth as glass. Marilyn Wayne says the same thing. Davern says the same thing. The HARBORMASTER says the same thing, that the sea was smooth. Only the RJ fans know better....they were there in their dreams, I guess.

Mustang, you've done this place proud. You recognize the inconsistencies in this case and you realize that all Rulli and Davern were trying to do with their book was to bring these facts to the attention of everyone. I like that you know about dinghy tie-ups too on boats. I totally understood it from the book. There's no way that dinghy was banging and no way it was tied near Natalie's stateroom, where there isn't a swimstep to even go on to secure it. The banging dinghy theory itself is the stupidest thing ever propogated. That investigation is the biggest joke of all the investigations in California's history.

If it was rough Natalie's body didn't show it.... because if it was rough, she would have been beat and ripped to shreds against the rocks.... GUARANTEED! Instead, without any swell, there's nothing to propel her body against those rocks. She then just ebbed and flowed within the cove..., without being washed up against ROCKS in that cove. The boat too... would have been punctured and deflated. A low lying mist/fog (a couple of feet thick) moved in later in the night and that was most likely why the Coast Guard didn't attempt. You're never see any wind and rain, in those conditions. Only in dead calm seas, do you a mist or low fog move in under high pressure ridge as a storm leaves!

Now... why didn't you ask me how I know about where the headboard is in the Master Stateroom on Splendor. Just ask Robert Wagner, Marti or Dennis where the head board was? They are going to tell you "Port Side"! haha.... :D ...Catalina? ...been there more times than I could count... by boat and air. I know it like the back of my hand!

It was rough on Thursday, out side of Avalon harbor itself and if you were traveling across the channel from the mainland, better have your Dramamine. That's why, we on Yacht ******** left Avalon the next day. Because of the 3 foot rollers in the inner harbor on Friday morning. Which made life miserable, just sitting on a mooring bobbing like a cork!

We like many others, left Avalon to head up the coast of Catalina to the Isthmus to escape those conditions. Storms in November usually come up from the South. When they do, the direction of the swells changes (like with hurricanes and typhoons) as it gets closer to land in Mexico. Then when they hit land mass it can cause the storm to break up very fast. In Avalon on Thanksgiving Day, there were no swells in the inner harbor, just lots of rain. Because you are in the Lee of the Island. Avalon itself is then protected.

We left Avalon late that Friday day, for the around an hour twenty minutes trip up the coast of Catalina (at around 14-15knots). Overnight on Friday in Two Harbors, we were still getting some light rain into Saturday. But as Saturday wore on, seas calmed down and by late afternoon we were drying out under clearing skies. By evening, life was blessed and we gave thanks and headed in for a few drinks ashore. That's when the standard flow of the Alaskan Tidal Currents (down through the Channel Islands) takes over as a storm hits land mass in Mexico and breaks up. The prevailing winds from the West/Northwest along with it's swells, knocks down any remaining swells from the storm, on the protected side in the Island's Lee. Those tidal currents are what carried her body south along the Island, through the some 220+ moorings in Two Harbors and into that cove. (note: that you would now have higher swells out in the Channel itself. Don't believe me..... Research it! ....it may have been rougher down in Avalon, but I highly doubt it. It was a cold and clear night with stars in the sky and no light from the moon. Pitch blackness everywhere except by the boats and some lights on the Island!


BTW... there are ways to get the exact reported conditions for Two Harbors that night. Remember winds and sea swells are reported as from which direction they are coming from. Now if you want to ask any more lame questions, let me know!

The book Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour may not be a piece of literature but it certainly makes sense to us. The time lines, the weather, the argument. Don't worry.... I'm trying to gather the official reports generated from the weather that was at the Isthmus that night. Weather for the mainland, both North and Southern end of Catalina can vary greatly. I suspect some of these bogus reports come from different days or locations. The Coast Guard too has logs. The search craft has logs. Two Harbors Yacht Club has Logs as well (Meteorological Reporting Station is at Two Harbors). If you have all these logs supporting many witnesses on the scene saying it was calm..... it was calm for sure!

Think about it.... the controversy isn't new. Some didn't believe the mis-information in the first place. Since then Chris Walken convicts himself by his silence. When he never revealed the full details of his argument with RJ and the other two there have since admited a bottle of wine was smashed exploding glass everywhere around the table RJ broke it on. They have pictures of the stateroom. It was a mess! ...the dingy was double tied to stern off two stainless steel cleats on the fishing cockpit rail, not the swim step. So why would she even need to go on the swim step? You only tie to stern in calm water, without any swells coming from stern to bow toward the shore. Otherwise the dingy is in danger of going under the swim step (with pitch instead of swell) and getting caught and damaged. Any yachtsmen knows this!

The only time you would tie a dingy to port is when swells are coming from the starboard side to use the Yacht for protection in extreme seas cases and then the boat is rolling while the dingy never bumps into the Yacht. Moorings are laid out to keep boats from rolling in normal high swell conditions naturally bow in to shore. Under certain conditions they can't be avoided though. That's what happened in Avalon. Swells were coming in from the south and you'll get roll rather than pitch on mooring with swell coming in from the side or ricocheting and causing turbulent and confused seas. If seas were rough and since the storm was from the south (Mexico), even up in two harbors, you would have tied the dingy to starboard, if you were any kind of seaman at all.... and starboard is the dominant side boats and ships of all sizes use to board on gangways, etc. Primarily because of both Inland and Offshore waterway Rules declare starboard as "Right of way". We are aware that you aren't a fan of some of the people on the RJ group and neither are we but we find it hard to believe that any of them would go along with all this craziness from the Vlad or Jocko people.
