I’ve seen all kinds of journalism pal, but I don’t think Ive ever seen a case where the author has so irreparably destroyed his own reputation all over nothing more than sour grapes. Tommy, the things that you saw unfold in front of you in the media the last few days were YEARS in the making, if you honestly believe that your little-known corner of the dot com world of celebrity gossip had anything at all to do with ANY of this then you’re just simply delusional and egocentric to the point of repugnant absurdity.

In the real world of professional journalism people don’t divulge in public, things that were offered in confidence and off the record. You have revealed yourself to be a completely untrustworthy soul and undeserving of consideration certainly by Marti Rulli and co. but of the greater celebrity community in general. The only thing you should be grateful for is that so few people will ever actually see your little rag that you don’t have to worry much that your dirty little habit will be discovered by anyone important enough to do you any damage. Or have they already?

I blasted Garrett today because he has attempted to insult and malign the good name and good work of Marti Rulli. ( See Original Post at top) Then he did this to my comments at his blog site...it is as follows:

I went to TG's site yesterday and he was talking lawyers and such because of the "nastiness" left in the comment section about the diary. What do you think?

Can people be sued for stating opinions on blogs, including the blogger?

Oh, and I put nastiness in quotes not because Tommy used the word but because what I read wasn't a big deal,imo but he may have not approved some comments.

For anyone who doesn't know, bloggers do see the IP addresses when comments are left.

There is no diary. A diary is a day to day log. These pages were not a diary. They were originally intended for a magazine article back in 1966. Suzanne Finstad made these pages public when she revealed their existence when she was doing her Warren Beatty biography. She told the press that she used the pages for that book. She told that she acquired them from Lana Wood. Before people go off on the deep end and make wild statements, they should do some research.

Marti has blogged about these pages in the past, there are no 'secret diaries' as Tommy Lightloafer puts it...he's simply a wanna be hollywood hanger-on hoping for a little attention. He's actually quite pathetic.

Gee, a month ago he was hailed as such a martyr by the book thumpers. What's happened to change that? Sounds like the deeper he's become involved, he has changed his mind about the sincerity of Rulli and Davern.

Garrett manufactured that comment and attributed it to me, the truly stupid thing is that it's SO provable that he's done it. Server logs don't lie.

Garrett really had me fooled. I thought he wanted justice for Natalie but it appears he just wanted credit for opening a long ago high profile case. Especially since he is continuing to threaten the reveal of things Rulli doesn't want told. This is journalism? Sad.

Doesn't dumbazz Davern realize how foolish and ridiculous he appears blaming Wagner for not doing anything to look for her when he was the captain and did nothing but drink himself? Jeesh, if this isn't the pot calling the kettle black what is? Everyone is asking that about Davern. He has no right to place blame on anyone when he admits he did absolutely nothing himself. If he feels they should bring charges against Wagner for not looking for his wife, then they should bring charges against Davern as well. Not that Wagner is ever going to be charged with anything. Davern is not bright at all.

Garrett deleted Creed's accusation of screwing with his comments. He deletes anything that doesn't blow smoke up his hiney. Most of the emails praising him sound like phony ones. I would also suspect he posts responses under other people's names. If he's telling the truth today, he and Smith have emails that prove Smith was asked to change his account of the bruises. Garrett makes it seem as if he and Smith have teamed up. I don't know what the truth is anymore but I know I am extremely anti-Garrett and his petty, raging ego. Look at the stuff he writes. Snide and nasty. Especially about Rulli followers. If this guy screws up the reinvestigation for his own selfish reasons I am going to be more pissed than I already am now.

I think Rulli was fooled by Garrett, that's my opinion. I think she gave him too much help and information. Rulli is an honest person whose mission was to get the case reopened. She didn't need Garrett for that but maybe thought he could help. Something must've happened, and I highly doubt Rulli had anything to do with it, as Garrett has clearly now shown himself to be an unprofessional hack who can't even spell. He is a terrible writer....it's all about him. He should find another subject and be grateful Rulli let him run with it. He doesn't give facts, he gives opinions. To turn on a woman who dedicated her life to a good cause is what's despicable whether or not you agree with Rulli and Davern or not. I'm so disappointed in today's back-stabbing journalism. Rulli has those posts at her blog praising Garrett. They are still there. I guess this man doesn't appreciate much. I heard Rulli say in an interview that she has met with the detectives. Maybe she can't associate with written pieces now. She's being careful in interviews, it's obvious. In any case, I wish Rulli the best ... she took us far. For all those who said here the cops would never be interested in Rulli, well I think it's obvious she got ya there. Whoever the OP is here, ditto. Good observation.
