Bono and The Edge

We're not going to win and I don't care, I just wanted to put up the story of Bono and The Edge there. My boyfriend who is 28 years old had never carved a pumpkin in his life. EVER. Apparently his parents always did that-- which I think is such a gyp but whatever whatever. So we bought him a pumpkin. And then I bought my own. We only had some butterknives clean to carve with so our jackolanterns kind of didn't turn out that great but I'm proud of us because we didn't use a template or write on our pumpkins before cutting-- we just went all hog wild with the knifey knifey.

Then we had to come up with names and that's what we called them.
That is all.

It may seem stupid all these pumkin carving sets with knife and scoop.
But I have been pumpkin carving my whole life and those little
kid set ups kick ass! The scoop is small you can easily fit it in any pumpkin
hole and the knifes cut better than anything else! I dare you to try it...

I have no problem with the little knife and the scoop, I've used them before and you're right they make things tons easier! I was just saying that I was proud that we didn't use a pre-made stencil because that's not really creativity. Not that old Bono and the Edge are all that creative.
