Lately, I have not been paying any attention to my hair! I have not had a trim since September. I just wash it and go. I have not done a deep conditioning treatment in months. I have not oiled it in a good while either. AND, I have been wearing it down all the time. To top it off, I spent the weekend at the beach with my hair down (not oiled and pulled up like a good girl) in the salt water and sunshine. (sad to say, my hair actually looks good in those conditions...the salt and wind makes it wavy and full of body--like I had spent lots of time and products to get that tousled look, which makes me WANT to leave it down) Sooo, yesterday I noticed SPLIT ENDS!!! Eek! I guess I deserve it.
Anyway, as my penance, last night I made a disgusting looking concoction of smushed avacado, honey, Skeeter's shea butter souffle, and two different conditioners. I slathered that into my washed hair, put it up and in a plastic cap and sat with my micro cap (a microwavable heating cap) on top for a good while. I did wash it out, but not well enough and it is sooo greasy looking today. Well, I decided to let it be greasy for a day. I even slathered my ends with jojoba oil (because my poor ends were so thirsty, they had soaked up all the moisturizer) and I have it pulled up in two buns. Not looking very lovely, but I hope my hair will appreciate it.
