Paul,
Thanks for all you help with my recessed lighting design. I drywalled and textured my kitchen ceiling and installed 7 new 50w low voltage cans on 3-way switches (one with a dimmer).
The light output is much brighter (compared to my previous antiquated 40 watt flourescent fixtures) and the look is more modern. The only thing left to do is to complete the installation of my baltic brown granite tile counters.
The only negative I have regarding the low voltage halogens is a very slight buzzing I hear when I turn on the lights. I bumped into a friendly electrician at the hardware store who said that the buzzing is typical of all transformers. Do you concure?? (By coincidence, I parked next to a transformer in the parking lot at the hardware store and it too was buzzing!)
Thanks again for all your outstanding advice,
Greg
