I have a straight island that is 75" long. On one end, I have a 12" diameter sink that is 13 1/2" from the end of the island to the middle of the sink. I have a 13" gooseneck faucet on that sink. The counter height is 36". On the other end, there is seating for one person opposite each other. A third could possibly sit on end (it's got a 4 3/4" arc to the end).
My question is the lighting. Originally I thought to have 3 mini pendants. One over sink and the other in middle of seating and the third somewhere equally spaced in middle. All same height and in line. However, after rethinking, I'm not sure if that is the best. Should I not have a light above the sink because of the gooseneck faucet? Should I only have 2 lights over the counter and seating area? I have 8 recessed lights so it's not that it would be dark. Also, what is the preferred spacing in between the pendants if there are 3? I was going to originally go with 19 inches, but I'm wondering if that is too close?
Please let me know what you think?
Thanks,
Elyse
