You left out the original 'The Haunting', Vincent Price's 'The Tingler', 'Creature from the black lagoon', (now there's a movie that screams for a remake, instead of 15 remakes of Friday the 13th, 6 remakes of Nightmare on Elm Street, or even the many remakes of King Kong). There's a little know movie named 'Near Dark' with Bill Paxton and others that was one different vampire movie, let alone forgetting 'The Lost Boys' should be a sin. Take 'Blair Witch' and put it where it belongs, in the garbage where it belongs. Last but not least you mention Donald Southerland's 'Invasion of The Body Snatchers', look at the original. Sadly directors and producers ignore good horror any more and think horror has to be dozens of teen gals screaming, near nude, getting decapitated or otherwise bloodied and killed. |
