I thought the characters were very disturbing. Hung up somehwere between real and fake. Why not either use real people or use animation that looks like Shrek 2 or Finding Nemo.
It makes the film very cold and distant. You can't reall feel warm and cuddly towards the characters. They are very machine -like entities that have no heart.
Bad idea to use the "motion-capture" animation.
