Well, I won't try to pretend that I'm not disappointed, to say the least. I wasn't prepared to give up on him.
One thing's for sure......any feeling that I had that Wayne was going to get #5 this year has gone up in smoke. He sure isn't going to get it with Going Wild, the poor thing. I am kind of disgusted with the bunch of them over that one.
I'm guessing his sub par Bluegrass was related. He could beat Spanish Chestnut by more than a nose running backwards.
I still see GOING WILD being sent here.Lukas helping Pletcher helping Tabor.Tabor/Lukas is an old pair(Thunder Gulch)Wayne does Tabor a favor and a nice 2yo comes his way.Wayne helps his old assistant who he's very fond of.Joe Bravo got a gift mount in the million dollar Haskell on Lion Heart owned by Tabor.Payback time Joe-just follow instructions and you'll be taken care of again.Jose Valdivia will reap some benefits also-in the form of a nice payoff or some future live mount. The Lewises obviously don't care. They'll probably cash a bet on Bandini. So will Lukas.Everyone goes home happy except for the Bellamy Road crew.Zito will take it like a man.He benefited from gang up tactics in the Belmont last year on Smarty Jones. All part of the game.
Big - I'm impressed by that synopsis. Backroom deals and favors have always been a part of this game and the scenario you lay out is entirely plausible. Hey it was done in the BC why not the KD?
So as I read this thread and if the scenario plays itself out as mentioned, it would appear that the 1-2 finishers of the FOY are the two that could have the easiest of trips in the big one. Hmmmmmm....

Funny, ski. I read it as the 1-2 finishers in the Juvy....
