Occasional name-calling,chest-thumping etc. is perfectly normal and expected, particularly as a letdown after a very emotional Ky.Derby.

No panic, and let everyone vent to clear their systems. We all react in different ways--some MUCH easier than others.

Guys "fight" in this way often. They can also have a bloody fistfight and be found drinking together an hour later.

Handicapping is very ego-driven, and it is hard to find a strong capper who isn't iron-willed and opinionated.

To me--the recent junk is just comical. I assure everyone that I viewed it all in a light-hearted manner(maybe too ligh-hearted and for too long).

Tooting the horn?
I do it if I think I have accomplished something of merit, and so do many others. If it bothers you, blow it off--ignore it. Just another difference in styles and personalities. No one holds a gun to our heads forcing us to read these posts, especially those written by people we don't particularly care for.

I gamble in a pretty much emotionless manner. Just another race or game to me, and there will be another equally important venue shortly after. Simply a means to an end.

Preakness is next week, and it will be business as usual by Wednesday.
