Does anyone know where I can find a photo of the Belmont finish for third place??? I have watched that replay at least ten times and I swear that Ready's Echo beats Anak Nakal to the wire, so there should not be a dead-heat. I did have the tri with RE so maybe I am just jaded in my view. Anybody else think so???? I thought the NYRA just wanted to take out the extra 25% on Tri tickets including Anak Nakal also. Am I just crazy??????

Chaz, I can't imagine that a DH effects the track takeout. The pool is what it is and 25% of the pool is what it is. The DH cost you half a payout or thereabouts but consider that if Anak Nakal got the "bob" how much worse you feel? Congrats on the nice hit.

I didn't think a dead heat altered the takeout at all. Should be the same and the pool of money for the winning payoff is just diluted as it must be split between the two winning combinations. All it should have done was water down the show payoffs, tri/super payoffs due to having to pay with two horses.

I'd like to see the photo as well as I also thought Ready's Echo got there. I tried to watch the replay and see but to no avail. Must have been Anak coming back on a bob just at the wire.

I saw the finish several times and thought Ready's Echo caught 3rd no problem. The previous posters are correct with the takeout, i.e. NYRA does not care if it was a DH or not.
I would suggest contacting Belmont directly to possibly purchase or maybe they can e-mail the photo at no charge. - Greg

You need to sign up for an account if you don't have one, but it's free.

Once signed into their replay center, click on horse and it will allow you to search for replays of any horse you'd like. Type in a horse from the Belmont and their replays will come up. You need to click search and not hit enter after typing in whichever horse you choose.

Once you click on the Belmont, you'll see a few options near the top of the replay center. One is photo and obviously that's what you'll need to click on. You'll be good to go.

A friendly word of advice. It's not good for your health to utilize this photo feature after every tough beat. It's just not.
