This tournament is scored like GOLF...
Players select ONE [1] runner for each "Contest Hole."
SCORES will be awarded based on where your runner finishes.
LOWEST score WINS!!!
Maximum score per hole = [6]
If your horse runs worse than 6th, you still score [6].

EAGLE/BIRDIE/BOGEY RULE:
A player may choose to attempt an EAGLE/BIRDIE PUTT on any contest hole,
by posting the correct COLD EXACTA as their selection.
Hit it COLD, receive an Eagle (-1).
Hit it in reverse order, receive a Birdie (-0-).
HOWEVER, If a player attempts the EAGLE/BIRDIE PUTT and misses...
the player receives a (+1) BOGEY penalty,
added to the placing of the player's TOP Selection.

SCORING THE FINAL HOLE:
The 18th Hole (Kentucky Derby)
Players receive credit for the ACTUAL order of finish.
(if your horse runs 15th... add 15 to your score.)

SHOT SELECTIONS: Players are responsible for posting contest selections
prior to the start of the race for each "Contest Hole.
If a player misses a contest hole for any reason,
they shall receive the RACE FAVORITE, PLUS a (+2) stroke penalty.

TIE-BREAKER: based upon each player's best finish on the hole being played.
Still tied??? ...refer to previous contest hole(s) until a winner is determined.

The letter "J" has only won the KY.Derby 4 times(1947,1939,1903,1885). Just FYI, the letter "U" for UNCLE MO has only won the KY.Derby once(1990). He isn't even close to my 2011 KY.Derby pick. BTW, the 2010 KY.Derby winner SUPER SAVER, "S" IS THE #1 LETTER TO WIN THE MOST KY.DERBY'S WITH 20 WINS. Bilbo, laugh but its a little scary isn't it?

You must tee off the first weekend to be in the field. After that you are allowed ONE missed weekend with the described penalty. If you miss 2 weekends your card is pulled, no exceptions. If there is a three hole weekend and you play only one hole, it is not counted as a missed weekend but the penalty applies on the missed holes.
