No decision yet if Rousing Sermon will run in Belmont

Parma-raised colt Rousing Sermon is ready to run in the Belmont Stakes
on June 9 in New York, but horse manager Dan Kiser said the plan is to wait and see
which horses enter the Belmont field before a decision is made to enter the 3-year-old or not.

Kiser said a decision should be made by June 1.

"That decision is probably a week out," he said.
"We're going to see how everything settles from the Preakness.
He's on track for the Belmont, if we decide to do that."

OK, I had this idea somewhere else, but it works even BETTER with Rousing Sermon, cuz he's a California horse all the way.

Jerry Hollendorfer names Mike Smith to ride RS. He tells Smith to 'ride him like Zenyatta', i.e. sit back and make one big run.

Mike takes Rousing Sermon back early, rallies wide, and closes with a rush to nip I'll Have Another at the wire.

So Smith, after being defeated twice on Bodemeister, thus denies I'll Have Another of The Triple Crown.

Irony of ironies.
