Response to It is great

Well put. I avoided this movie at the theatre based on the terrible reviews. One thing I've recently learned is "screw the reviews" and watch/judge it for yourself.

This movie is borderline BRILLIANT! I have not been moved by a flick so much in a long time. I'm so tired of movies like Troy with its basic format and character development. This one dug very deep into the actual hero, what possibly makes them who they are, and most impotantly, why they fall.

I also couldn't help but draw parallels between the movie and what the world is experiencing now. I don't mean to get too political, but can't anyone else respect this movie as a reflection of why we should learn from history? I know Stone doesn't always follow historical truth, but if there is an ounce of it here, we should learn something! You and your "leaders" are not always right and other people and cultures are just as important as you and your beliefs. This movie does a wonderful job of exploring this.

Shame on you pathetic reviewers just looking for a formula film. You probably think Gladiator is the greatest movie ever made. Obviously there are a lot of you out there because that weak-ass crap won Picture of the Year.

My hat's off to Stone for making this movie the way he did. I couldn't pull myself away from it for the entire 3 hours and the final battle scene was truly amazing and very emotional.

Great movie!!!!!!!!!!
