Any idea where you could get a large block of wood in a place like Phoenix? Where do you guys go to buy tree trunks?
Thanks,

Milt, You say you respect a persons freedom of speech.Would you be willing to track where this vile post came from and publish its source? Even if it originated at a public place,ie a library, etc, you should be able to determine the origin and publish it. This has absolutely no merit. -ken
Milt! Ken, could not of expressed it better ! there is no reason or excuse for a responce like that!
At least this fool identified himself as (dumbass)...R.L.
They can block you, but they can't write you unless they know your email. What is going on with these forums? Nice guys like MW get totally blocked with no explaination, but this other (rather nasty) responder gets all the freedom in the world to snipe, and be nasty to any one they please, and it doesn't stop.... Where's the justice?
More than likely you're going to have to contact a landscaping company or tree service business in the area and hope they might be taking down a tree in someones yard for whatever reason. Next best thing is to head over to California on a road trip to get some logs. You might also get ahold of Mark Chavez, he's a carver in New Mexico and he had a line on some decent sized pine recently. I think Milt has him listed in the carvers directory on the home page of this web site. Hope it helps a bit...
See ya.

Yep! Go up to Flagstaff, stop in at the Forest Service Office on Lake Mary Drive, and buy a wood cutting stamp 15$ or so. Then go cut your own, right now its any tree thats down. Bring a big saw too ,trees up in Flag can be 4' plus in dia.Yellow Pine = "Flag-staff"
