My wife and I are very pleased to see the nice response and turnout already for this event! We are advertising this event and auction 2 months in advance so that everyone has a greater chance of not only making friends, but making money! We are very busy making lots of phone calls and in-person visits around our area to get as many sponsors as we can. So far, the feedback is all positive, it seems a lot of people here are really looking forward to coming to our event and watching all of us "do our thing"! So, I just want to say thank you all for helping support our first event! P.S. I am still waiting to hear back on hotel discounts and a couple of other details, so if you've asked about that and haven't heard back from me yet, that's why. I will make sure to let you know when I hear something! Thanks!

The hotel that we're looking at for the event is the Quality Inn. The address is 602 Old Wheatland Rd. Vincennes, IN. 47591 and the phone number is (812)886-9900. The rate is $55.00 a night. This hotel has a restaurant and bar inside of it as well as an indoor pool. We have tentatively reserved a block of 20 rooms and will increase or decrease that number as needed. This rate covers double occupancy. The reservation is booked under Knox County Chainsaw Carvers for September 23-29 for those wanting to stay over or arrive early. You will need to know what the reservation is booked under when calling to receive this discounted rate. Also, reservations must be made by Sept. 15 to receive discount. Guests of the hotel receive an additional 10% discount at Garfield's Restaurant (in hotel). Vincennes is 12 miles southwest of where the event will take place. Cindy, it is real nice to hear from you , several carvers asked if you and Bob are coming. I told them that I didn't know yet, but was hoping! So yes! Last minute is fine, You and Bob take care and hope to hear from you!
Would be great to see you guys again...but if you show up late you get to share the dumpster with Desi and Bob has to stand in the corner for 2 days so we can get a jump on him carving...lolol....looking forward to Chazfest..
