Jim,along with your shirt info, you mentioned carving in Sturgis.Is it a private get-together or ? I always thought the zoo-like ambiance would be awesome for chainsaw carving,just another part of the roadside attractions, like the artists doing custom artwork on the bikes and the leathers. Like Bike week itself, do you have it set up annually?-ken
It's just I use to live there and visit regularly so I invaded the get together. I still have a few very good friends in the area also. We'll be carving at the Sturgis Harley Davidson Store 1040 Junction Ave Sturgis,SD. 10am to 6pm July 31st -August 9th. Got to go I'm loaded up and headed for Martin, MI for the Michigan Chopper Fest's 3rd Annual. Should be fun. This should prime me for the adventure to leave Monday morning to Iowa to see Ken and Jeff in Des Moines and Jeff Klatt in Storm Lake and a short trip on the Missouri River with friends in Sioux City, Iowa; my home town. Then on to the Badlands for a sunrise before entering the Hills. Just a ritual I had for years when going out there. Puts me in the right perpective and humbles ones soul.
They are the coolest. Jim also had 90% of designing our shirts some years ago. He has friends do this stuff and he knows his designs. Let me check with Ann CC and if we have one your size we'll send ya one. Ours are good too but I like his better. I love to say it as it is and stay mellow and retired.

I'm one of those independent carvers belonging to no group and carving where I want to. That's why I designed the t-shirts, sweatshirts and sleeveless t-shirts and tanks for carvers to promote themselves. As you know this shirt is not afiliated with any group and promotes whom ever wears it.
Sorry for the misinformation about the location in the Black Hills. It was changed at the last minute due to the congestion of the location of the store in Sturgis but we have it all togetehr for next year. We'll be carving at the Black Hills Harley Davidson store in Rapid City, South Dakota off of I-90 exit 55. You can see us from the highway. Thanks Jeff and Lacey and Chad and Zoe. I worked to damn hard on this one to take any time to enjoy the Hills that won't be the case next year. You'll see us in three to four of the major camp grounds and arenas as well as at the Store in Rapid City. Crazy times and lots of fun carving were had. The ladies loved the tanks and sported them as they worked nonstop all week.
We were all praised for what we brought to and demonstrated to the crowds throughout the Hills. Ken Tynan we sure would have had some fun with you being there. Maybe next year. The Cock Couch will be on display for everyones lounging needs. :~) I couldn't get any of the ladies to carve a vagina for the cock I carved so I will carve it myself. I think I remember what one looks like. But to get your picuture taken next to or hugging the biggest cock at the rally was a big hit with the ladies. Just wondered how many of them have it as a screen saver on thier computers. Like I said, "Make all your friend jealous and get your pictured taken with the biggest cock at the Rally". Yes some were shy and timid but once they had their hand and arms wrapped around 'Woody the Fluffer' all inhabitions went out the door. Just a taste of what I did while entertaining a 1/2 million bikers at the biggest party on earth. Good grins with good friends what else is there in life. I named him Woody the Fluffer because most of the ladies in touch with him had to go home with whom ever they came with. Woody flies solo anyways.:~) Got top download the camers still recouping from the nonstop drive home. 16 hours from Rapid City to Potterville, MI Got to go these sawsz need some loving attention before i abuse them again starting tomorrow on a 18 footer.
I would have enjoyed that gig ... it's a shame I got uninvited, I had planed to carve a biker chick ... but never mind, it all makes sense now.

I got Uschi put up at one of my friends cabin and I think she was pretty happy there. He has a Harley so she got to go see the Hills which I didn't I was to busy with making this work. If there is a conflict it is easy not to see others out there. Next year we will be in about four other places sending everyone to the Harley Store. Certainly your kind of crowd. No bars held on the artists at this palce. The crazier the better. Can't gurantee you'll sell them but they will be fun to carve. Are you going down to Peru this winter? I'll be back down there in Central Mexico next month getting my house in order and ready for a winter visit before the Rendezvous. That would be a change and I need some new locations on my passport. I'll be in Amsterdam from the middle of November until The first week of December. Trying to get something going on there also. Getting jobs from there now just have to get to them. One in Burmingham, England for a big Budda. Wanted to give it away to a carver there but they want me to do it. Isn't it nice to be wanted and not by the police. :~)
