No offence is meant to anybody on here, I copied this paragraph from another website and just found it amusing.
During the summers the weekends were and still are spent going to mod runs. During the 60’s and late 70’s/early 80’s you got to the run on your scooter. Those days are gone among the mods. Today there are just as many people driving there on their scooters as there are people taking the train. The scooter plays a central role on these runs though. On the runs All-nighters are arranged where the top mod groups are performing and the sharpest DJ:s are spinning their records. If you want to go to a run where everybody there are interest in scooters you should go to a scooter run. If you do, you will fin yourself surrounded by big cruel looking guys. They aren't that bad actually. Most of them are just mods who have outworn their suits and decided that their major interest are the scooters and drinking beer, not what 7 inch that is most expensive or who has the sharpest outfit.
