Slim, thanks for your comments. But first the official stance of Reel Reviews with regards to the Morbidly Hollywood section in general:
"While I assure you that the decision to post photos of questionable integrity on our site was not made without serious discussion, we did feel it was necessary to preceed the questionable pages with an "explicit warning" link. We feel that with appropriate warning, these pages cannot be accessed without first navigating through the "graphic warning" gateway.
Much like as is the case with explicit lyric warnings on music recordings, the responsibility of viewing or listening to appropriately labeled material can be made by the informed consumer rather than by the distributor. If you don't want to see it, don't click on the link!
Once again, thank you for your visit to our site, and while we want you to know that we do indeed appreciate your concerns, we hope that you, in turn, are informed about our decision making process. Please understand that we feel a need to balance the responsibility of journalism with the desire of our viewers to have access to public information. We believe "explicit warning" labels appropriately address the concerns to ensure that the public is never subjected to the scourge of censorship."
Now that that's out of the way, here are my personal comments with regards to the Black Dahlia case: The murder of Elizabeth Short is currently listed as unsolved in resides in the "cold case" file having happened decades ago. One thing to keep in mind is that many now know about the Black Dahlia case and hopefully one day, the "golden" tip will come into the police department. Hopefully someone will have seen something on the internet or on TV that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Probably not, but who knows.
