I see that the story of Elizabeth Short is being made into a feature movie to be released in 2006. It will be directed by Brian DePalma and will star Josh Hartnett, Hilary Swank, Scarlett Johansson. Mia Kirshner will play Elizabeth Short.
Maggie Gyllenhaal was offered the part of Elizabeth but turned it down
The film is scheduled to be released sometime next year and will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
