Red Manley was eliminated as a suspect after passing a polygraph test
and establishing an alibi. He was asked to identify Liz Short's purse
and shoes, which were likely dropped off near a restaraunt by the
killer(s). Manley was the last person to see Liz Short alive (except
for her killer, or course), and he stated that she had worn those shoes
and carried the purse when he had last seen her.
