Please don't read the following if you haven't seen the movie. It will ruin the experience.
Following are two threads that make up the story of Blade: Trinity:
The vampires have decided that their best method of stoppings Blade's offense is to "out" him to the police. They frame him for some murders of non-vampires which makes him now wanted by the FBI and various local police departments. After being finally captured by the FBI he is then rescued by the Nightstalkers, a group of vampire hunters lead by Hannibal King. Blade and the Nightstalker then team up to destroy the vampires.
Meanwhile, the vampires successfully resurrect Drake (Dracula) the 7000 year old progenitor of the vampire race, with hopes that they can capitalize on his pure genetic imprint to help make themselves immune to sunlight. The vampire race has become impure throughout the years due to crossbreeding with humans so much that vampires have now lost their ability to go outside i the sun. Drake, having the purest of vampire blood will be used to help purify a new race of vampires.
The Nightstalkers are a clandestine group of vampire hunters. Hannibal King, their leader, was at one time a vampire but was able to make himself human again. He now has made it his personal mission to exterminate the entire vampire race. Abigail Whistler (Jessica Biel) is not a vampire but is carrying on the legacy of her father and to avenge his and her family's death.
