      Good morning!
I know this is kind of a late response, but I am new here. I read a post awhile back, and I thought the person had started taking Vitex, and experienced a black menstrual flow. I was thinking about it again last night for some reason and thought I would write my experience.
A few bits of info about Vitex. My knowledge of it is that it is a uterine tonic and cleanser. It was introduced to me to help with endometriosis, because it helps the body balance, but also clear out the “webbing” caused by endo. It has also been used successfully by women who have fibroids in their uterus…when taken long term (a year or more) it diminishes and clears the fibroids. The uterus is our biggest cleanser. If your menstruation was black, (as mine has been at times) that would indicate to me that the vitex was helping your body cleanse out toxins, which is a very good thing. If you do not want to cleanse so fast, I would reduce your intake of the vitex, and then work back up. It is quite possible that you might want to have the toxins cleansed out eventually though, as it will help your absorption of NBE. Of course, I am no expert; this is only from my research, and my own work with my body.

      Take care!

Ps. I took vitex alone for about a year and did not have and breast growth from that alone. Of course at that time I had no idea it could be used for that, but obviously my body needed more than just the vitex.
