Hey! I was just reading my journal from when I first started and I thought that it would be a good idea for all the newbies if we had a page for growing signs. Forgive me if we already have one and I'm blind and don't see it. ;)
So, when I first started the very first sign I had was between my under arm and boob hurt so bad. I thought I had given myself cancer or something. lol It felt like my lymph nodes. I thought I was growing boobs under my arms. lol Also it felt fuller under there.
The very next thing almost immediately after the under arm was I was always wet under my arms. I used to walk around with my hands on my hips just so I could air out my pits. Oh and the smell, I turned into a deoderant toting "teenager" lol
After that which lasted about 3 weeks I started getting pains and tingles but this time the pains were doing something. That is when I started to see real growth and not just swelling.
So that's it in a nutshell. If you get any of these don't think you are killing yourself with herbs, jump for joy because your new boobies are on there way. :)
For me,I started feeling pains after only a few days of being on the herbs and within a week or so I had the "itchiness" which was well known to me as a sign of growth from when I was pregnant or gained any weight that went to my boobs in the past.My pains are not really "painful" or anything most of the time but I have been lucky to have tenderness almost every day since starting NBE.The only time my tenderness ever goes away now is just on the days that Im actually ON my period. My growth started from the sides the first month and now is also showing up underneath,Im waiting for my goal which is in the middle...yah,some CLEAVAGE PLEASE so that everyone ELSE can tell Ive grown too lol.Well thats my experiences so far on BE:-)
I get Chest pains only in my chest not in my breast though. I had a only 1 in a blue in my breast stingy feeling like needles but I want that feeling back. I do get back and tummy pains though with these pills. im getting the pains in the wrong places lol...any1 else
I get it now I started getting it under my arm pit and on the side of my boobs ever since I started the Licorice Root I googled it. It says it helps to lead the othe vitamins to through the 12 chambers or something like that. Its giving me the boost though so Im happy again. Im going to take it til 4/21/06 then my 6 weeks are up then Im switching to Red Clover..Thanks for all of your help. Happy growth pains everyone!!
I got tingles and soreness in the nipples and the breasts, also some stabbing sensations, like needles, especially in the nipple which could be quite sore. I didn't experience them too often, usually during the second half of my cycle and then for a couple of days, maybe a week at most with my breasts often being severely sore to the touch during the first few days and the sensations getting weaker towards the end.
I also have been getting tingles for the first time ever during my period, so this is kind of weird, I am not sure if it is down to my reduced dose of Fenugreek or the cocoa butter that I have been using as well for massages.
Some people experience growing pains already a week or two after taking herbs but it really depends on the individual and not everyone has growing pains, some just grow without them.
Right away when I started NBE (the second time after a two year break) I had almost instant pains and soreness on the Saw Palmetto. However it was only the excess I had still from 2 years ago and so I ran out and now i'm doing the Greenbush enhancement blend which still has Saw Palmetto but less. I'm not getting the pains or soreness much anymore now because I'm using more fenugreek for everything... massage, pills, extract. All has more fenugreek.
I think the saw palmetto works better for me! Anyone else feel this way?
Also I've never experienced this itchyness I keep hearing about.

interesting....

that is interesting what you said about the under arm sweating... i've been having a huge problem with that the last couple weeks and couldn't figure out why... i didn't even think about it being from nbe
i started to feel underarm pains and swetting also when i added one extra saw palmetto. Beside the pains though haven't noticed any signs of growing. I also did get some tingles during my last cycle for a couple of days but that's it. Trying to be patient and see if i get the tingles soon as well as Angela did. Fingers crossed.
My "pains", are like stabbing pains, alittle like stich that just "shoot" every now and again from my nipple and sometimes under my arms.
At times i also get itchy underneath my breasts, as i have just read above this is an encouraging sign, i thaught i could be having a small elergic reaction.
I also feel lkie the majority of my chest aches, and aches more when i move my arms
My nipples are also looking quite alot bigger than usual and some times hurt to touch
I happen to find the massage technique, where you bring the fat forward like a slapping hand it really hurts at the moment so i can't seem to do it as long, once massage is complete, they seem to instantly swell and stay swelled for a good amount of time.

growing signs
October 5 2006, 9:46 PM
Hi
Have been glued to this forum all evening since discovering it. I have been following Flat to Fab for almost three months. Since reading here, I am beginning to believe the book might not be a money spinning effort. At this point I am taking the max herbs, of Fenugreek, Saw Palmetto and Red clover. Sadly i have not noticed any change. I am also massaging once a day sometimes twice with lotion, fenugreek and wild yam extract. This evening I added Epo to the massage having read about it here. My second period was two weeks late. I am now thinking of swopping red clover with Hops or Kudzu but not sure if I should just keep going. Did not know I had to quit sugar Totally?
I would really really love some feedback as to what changes I could make or should I give up at this stage. A couple years ago I took Erdic for 6 months and no change either.
Thanks
Hi Terry, first off, the highest dosages may just be too much for you, which could well be why you aren't growing just now. I would come off the herbs completely for about a month and then start up again, in the mean time do some kind of cleanse, maybe take milk thistle or get some cleansing tea from a health store to give you a fresh start.
After the break I would start with taking a low dose of Saw Palmetto, maybe 500mg to 1000 mg a day and keep with that for at least a month or two.
The same goes for the Fenugreek, ramp up slowly, depending on your boob size I would start with a dose of 610mg two to three times a day but definitely not above that for a month if you are a B cup or less, if you are a C or more you can take higher dosages.
I would not add hops or anything else in the beginning because it sounds to me like you may have been taking too many phytoestrogens and that that is why you haven't noticed any signs of growth so far.
Take it slowly, it is all trial and error, and the best way to find out what works for you is to start with only two to three herbs at low dosages and stick to that for one to two months. Then, if you don't notice anything, you can start ramping up slowly, e.g. adding one more capsule of Fenugreek or adding the Red Clover then to find what dosages work for you.
You don't want to take too much too soon!
I hope this helps and don't give up yet, just take it slowly and I am sure you will get there in the end, it takes patience and time to find what works for you, so don't get discouraged just yet.
Good luck,
Lisa
tomorrow is my 2nd week on Wonderup just ended. i must say i was really excited when i started feelng tingles and pains in my breasts and nipples from the 2nd day but got a little upset when the pains transferred down to my middle when i approached my period about my 10th day.
Hopefully my tingles will climb back up to my breasts after my period...
Does anyone else have such travelling pains...? :)
I keep getting a comforting feeling of warm waves passing over and through them.....especially in the evenings. Itchy feelings too........like right now.
Am sweating much more from underarms and it can smell quite curry-like. Am having to wash, change and spray........LOTS. I see a big difference in my nips too. They are getting much bigger.
Swell times to all :-)
Love

re growing signs and starting over
October 6 2006, 5:04 PM
Thank you Lisa for all that information. I will try what you said. Can I just clarify when I start again with the saw palmetto do you mean take it on its own for one or two months or with the fenugreek as well?
Also I did start off with a lower dose in the beginning as instructed and the book said that if you notice no change after the first month then slowly increase which I did.
I am 5 5 and 8 stone (120lbs) and A cup so this could be why it is taking time. Thanks again
Terry

You're not massaging enough, the book says twice a day 360 times; I break it up over the day 36 rotations each time (x 10 over the day) you can do this in the bathroom - with the extra water you have to drink you'll probably have to go that often anyways!

I see that you are following the Flat to Fab process with the three herbs suggested as i am. Whats been your experience with the doses?
Also i had to stop massaging with the extracts in the morning because EVERY where i went people complained of the smell of curry. I even told a taxi driver once that Id just had indian!! So now I use the fenugreek and wild yam extract in the evenings and some massage without some mornings. But i am now going to use the cocoa butter, vit e and geranium essential oil in the morning. And have a break from the herb tablets as soon as I get my period which is due.

I didn't really think that we will be giving off any smell or sweating more. Maybe that's good for me, cos it takes a lot to make me break into sweat and people say its bad if you don't sweat enough for all the bad stuff to come out with the sweat... And smelling it does mean that the herbs have been absorbed right?
I'm not too worried about the curry smell cos I like curry, but not sure about smelly like I've been having curry morning noon and night tho...lol.
When I read about that just now, I went to contortionist positions to sniff my underarms,... because I'm not sweating... Still no smeall, so does it mean my body isn't abosrbing the herbs enough? I'm 36, 5 foot 1 and 45kg on Wonderup - 3X 2 pills a day, currently 14th day. Shouldn't I be sweating by now???!!!
Hi Terry, I meant take a break, then ramp up the SP every day by one until you get to your starting dose of lets say 1000 mg. Then introduce the Fenugreek and ramp that up one a day again, I would take 2-3 to start off with for one month, then, maybe take one more the second month, but I would stick to the maximum of three for about two months. If you notice tingles, pains etc. I would keep this up.
Also, are you taking a multivitamin? I would introduce that if you aren't, also taking EPO or using it for massages made a difference for me and I grew faster with that.
I don't think you need to massage for 20 minutes every day in order to grow, I don't think it is THE factor of determining growth or no growth. If you have a routine that is working for you then the massages should enhance and maybe speed up growth but if your routine isn't working then all the massaging won't do much either. Do what you can with the massages but the more you stress about growth or no growth the more likely it is that that is what is stopping it from happening.
I try to massage for about 5 minutes at night when I have the time, heat is really beneficial so you could try that, just keep it low and don't go over 15 minutes because that can apparently discourage growth.
Christina started a thread saying "don't fuss the little stuff" or something along those lines, you can search for it, it is worth a read.
Good luck and just be patient, I am sure you will grow soon.
Take care,
Lisa

curry smell
October 7 2006, 3:08 PM
iv just started taking wu i started yesterday and when i first opened the bottle i was taken away by the smell of the tablets, its got a spicy sort of smell...and by taking these pills every day am sure when we sweat its the pills coming out of ours pores..i dont dont really know but i think thats the cause of the curry smell
Glad this thread was resurrected. I've been on NBE for a week and no pains whatsoever and a bit discouraged. I'm wondering if I should be taking Nettle Root since Saw Palmetto shouldn't be taken with BC.
AT the moment I'm taking 1000mg 2X day and vitex 800 mg twice a day morning and night. Take collagen, vit C, Vit B complex, Evening Primerose and Flaxseed Oil, Omega 3 Fish oil.
I have been extremely stressed out for the past 2 weeks because of certain situtations at the job. I'm getting a little discouraged since I haven't felt any 'growing' pains as others have stated within a first few days. I know this is a process, but a little sign would be so comforting.
Julie, don't feel discouraged, i didn't feel any pains until the second month. i did have very sweaty armpits though, i saw that others have mentioned it as well, i'm taking wonder up and the first three weeks i just smelled like the tablets, not very nice when you go to the gym, luckily it stopped after few weeks

ascertaining sensations
January 30 2007, 3:36 AM
This is a great thread and it would be good to have in the info somewhere for newbies. I remember when I first got my herbs I was extremely curious as to what sensations I should look for.
Several times it felt to me exactly the way it felt when my milk came in. This is hard to explain, but it's a warm, tingling that fills like your boobs are filling up suddenly, but of course, this time they did not fill with milk. I have had tons of sensations, pains itchiness and even the sharp pains under the arm, but very little growth over the months, probably a bit of fullness, but now I am going to try Bovine Ovary soon and I have great hopes for that. There seem to be quite a lot of things a person can try, so if one program doesn't work after several months, that doesn't mean it's time to give up.
It feels that in my left breast directly under the nipple its very hard and solid... painful as well. That's the only pain I'm feeling... Is that normal?
