for the men (and may help the ladies), some research

gentlemen,

i was just reading an article about companies trying to develop a male birth control pill, and it was talking about experiments and their side effects. the article tells of one company studying progesterone. it says:

"its method uses progesterone, a hormone thats also used in womens birth control. in low doses progesterone SUPPRESSES SPERM PRODUCTION. however, it also seriously affeces male secondary sex characteristics (think breast growth...) interestingly, they found they could virtually eliminate that problem in patients by periodically administering doses of testosterone."

so heres what that tells me: if you guys up the progesterone through a lot of these herbal methods, you will probably grow some breasts... however if you are a high testosterone kind of guy, you will have trouble (also, studies with testosterone based methods found acne, weight gane, prostate gland growth, and abnormal liver function, so be careful with those). however, upping the progesterone will also interfere with sperm production, so if you are trying to have children, watch out. i have no idea if the effects were permanent (it didnt say) but presumably not because they seem to have found the guys okay after a little testosterone was injected...

ladies, this may help us as well... you know we all have testosterone as well, just in less quantities...

anyway, just thought i would share...

hugs and good boobie wishes to all!

I would add a bit of my own conclusion after the reaserch I regulary make - in our bodies, the enzyme aromatase is very important. It converts testosterone into estrogene. So if you are estrogen defficient, substances that increase aromatase activity will be good for NBE and I think the eseential fatty acids have a role in that, which is why we take borage oil / EPO. Conscequntially, low aromatase activity can result in too much testosterone, but it's probably better to try to boost aromatase instead of limiting testosterone, so don't go too high on saw palmetto! I have devised my pills taking schedule according to this info - I don't take borage and SP at the same time, borage in the morning and SP in the afternoon.
