im not sure, i dont think you should be too worried, as you have recently been pregnant, maybe your body responded to the hormones as a sign to lactate again. as it was the smaller one maybe because your daughter took to that side of you more than the other? but to be safe i would go to see a doctor and explain that you are taking pills that may affect your hormones. if it is because of what i guessed above then it mite be a good idea to wait a little longer before startring nbe? or if you carry on and you dont lactate again then maybe it was just a one off when your body realises that you dont need to produce milk. good luck.

The massages and the phytoestrogens apparently can make some women lactate, HoneB knows quite a bit about this I think so it would be interesting to hear from her about this.
In the meantime I would maybe stop the massages, maybe you just have been overdoing it and the stimulation has caused you to lactate again.

Before I found this forum, in fact the very first thing I ever found about NBE was a website that was promoting natural breast enlargement through... lactation. This site was promoting itself as a study, if you wanted to participate you had to sign up and you had to agree to send them photos every week.

They went on and on about the benefits of lactation - supposedly reducing breast cancer risks. They said that any woman could induce lactation by following their techniques. They were vague but the techniques included massage and using a breast pump.

The site was a little creepy. Maybe it was just that I had never even heard of NBE before, maybe it was how they wanted the photos. I have tried to find that site again, but no luck. I can find links to something that seems to be that site, but it won't pull up.

Anyway, I would be suprised if you are the only one who has stimulated lactation. I did some research on it and yes, any woman, in fact any man can stimulate lactation if they are dilligent in using a breast pump. There was no negative side effects reported -other than I would guess a potential mess.

It might not be what you intended, but it certainly is one way to increase breast size. I wonder now that this has started, if it will continue for you.

Best wishes,

Can men really lactate? How?!?!

Breast tissue is just breast tissue. If men can have breasts that grow larger then men can also lactate. There is nothing about a man's breast that physically would inhibit him from lactating except that a man's natural hormone state does not promote the creation of milk lobules.

Even if a man is not taking herbs that increase his estrogen and progesterone, pumping the breast will cause his body to release hormones that will stimulate lactation ---eventually. It takes a lot of pumping over the course of several weeks.

If you are interested in finding out more, use the search words lactation stimulation, or breast pump. The site I found the most information on was one that was talking about how adoptive mothers could stimulate lactation to feed thier adopted infants. If a man used the same techniques as these women do, he could potentially end up with the same results.

I cannot remember where I read about men lactating, but there is a book about the breast that confirms this.

Best wishes,

Thanks, Waxing.

So do you think Natureday could "promote the creation of milk lobules"? I'd never really thought of lactation as a side effect of NBE.

Maybe this will help you.

I found this thread where one of the responses talks about how a low progesterone level may stimulate lactation when a woman is using NBE herbs.

(p.s. I know this is the most posts I have ever done on any thread... I am really not obsessed with lactation, but I just spent over an hour yesterday trying to find that old website I mentioned... That website, as much as it disturbed me, was what launched me into NBE. :D )

Intersting thought. The thread that spoke of low progesterone levels increasing the likely-hood of lactation when NBE herbs are used may indicate the possibility. Men naturally have very low levels of progesterone.

The milkmen site spoke of men who just 'thought' themselves into producing milk. It almost seems that men have an easier time of it than women. It certainly seems to be the case for breast growth from some male testimonials I have read on Natureday and Bountiful Breast.

Keep us posted twinklepose... :)

re: I've started lactating

Hi Cutevelvet,
I finished breastfeeding my youngest son about 12 months ago and I am still able to squeeze a small amount of milk from my nipples. When I weaned my eldest son the same thing was happening 12 months later and I asked my doctor about it and she said that it can take up to 12 or 18 months for it to dry up all together. Could be that you have stimulated it to start up again with Wonderup and SP or that you're milk had not dried up completely before you started. Either way, it probably isn't anything to worry about (just messy). Other than that, I hope everything is going really well for you. !!!

sorry for my ignorance, but I take it that lactating is only if you have been pregnant?

nope

some women who adopt and have never had children of their own womb can be induced to lactate. just takes alot of dedication of time on a breast pump. male and female infant when first born can be seen with drops of milk coming out of their nipples because of the mothers hormones that cross over to them thru the placenta. called 'witch's milk'.

hey your welcolme and i hope it goes well, it's great you've responded so early! and don't be disheartened if it is only your period because it's still early days yet. to add to the person who said you can induce lactation with a pump. well i did'nt use one of those, but i did use the nipplette for a week (for correcting inverted nipple) well one of the reasons i stopped was because every time i took them off after 8 hours there was a curious white liquid in the nipple chambers, it was only a little and nothing came out of me when they were off so i don't know if it was lactation. but if it is it must be easy to induce lactation because it was only a day of wear and ive never had children. lol ive waffled a bit! i don't think you need to worry tho x

But women have mammary glands, and ducts and things that evolve during puberty...if you squeeze your breast it isn't just breast tissue, there is a lump in it that is the mammary gland, that's what would hold milk. If you squeeze a man's 'breast' there is just breast tissue. So I don't see how men can lactate. (Though I'm not saying it isn't possible)

Also.. lactating for too long is not good for any woman. Breast milk uses A LOT of vitamins and minerals and proteins and all sorts of things that you are extracting from your body to produce the milk. if you lactate for too long you will start to become weaker because you are constantly spending all that nutrition on something for nothing essentially, because there is no baby to feed. This is one reason why women get weaker after every birth, and why dairy cows don't live very long these days.

Hi, need advice

December 4 2006, 10:08 PM

My bigger breast has been leaking milk for the past 2 and a half months, it happens when I do the pressure points from fengshui“s massage, and I have virgin breasts. I“m not taking any herbs, just massage + foods. I know it means that I have hig prolactin levels, but what should I do? Should I stop massaging that breast?
